Chapter 29

After Mona got into the taxi and left the restaurant, she sighed a long breath of relief.

It was over. The marriage was finally over.

She was like a fish released back into the ocean, now able to live a life of freedom.

The taxi stopped in front of a cafe.

A man was waiting for her inside, and when she came in, he stood up.

“Susan, you’re here.”

Mona sat opposite Victor and put her purse down. Her eyes sized the man from top to bottom.

She tried her best to search for memories regarding the man, but her mind was blank.

She was curious how he knew she had a pair of twins, so when he called her out to meet, she agreed.

“Mr. Cornwell, how did you know I have a pair of twins?”

“It’s because you’re my fiance, and I’m their father,” Victor said.

“What? You are the twins’ father?”

Mona dared not believe what she just heard.

“Suzy.”

Victor held Mona’s hand, but she quickly pulled away from him.

It was disgusting. She could not accept intimate contact with the man
