18. Arousal

Rowan and Matteo led me into a room that had only one couch. They told me to sit down and then took their places on both sides of me. We were facing another empty room. I turned to Matteo for an explanation.

"The scene would be happening in the other room. They wouldn't be able to see us, but they know we're here."

I nodded softly, still nervous about the whole thing. "When will it begin?"

"Should be starting now."

Immediately after Matteo uttered those words, they entered the room. There were two men and one woman. My breath hitched.

Rowan took one of my hands in his hold, smoothing his fingers over my knuckles to calm me down while Matteo placed his large hand on my thigh and squeezed.

I smiled reassuringly at the pair before looking forward.
