I knew I said I wanted to keep the past in the past but there was something that sparked in me that day; the day I had that conversation with Matteo and Rowan about my mother.

It got me wondering. Was she alive? Was she doing well? Was she married?

She had been very young when she had me. It probably didn't help that my dad died shortly after. I didn't know if that was what propelled her bad decisions concerning her life.
