Don Emilio

‎"you look stunning Adeline" Ashley said as we both stared at my reflection. She looked like she was trying hard not to cry for my sake and I squeezed her hands in gratitude. How we ended up here is beyond me.

‎After that dreadful visit, my dad made me understand that it was either this or death. Not like I give a fuck about my dad's life, but my whole family was involved what choice did I have?.

‎To make myself feel better, it's better being a wife than a girl who works three jobs to feed her family. So, I took the deal. And as a plus, my husband to be was literally a Greek god.

‎I was standing in a white slick wedding gown that hugged my side. Revealing all my curves perfectly. I agree I did look pretty but I felt horrible inside so horrible I couldn't believe I was actually doing this.

‎My whole life I never expected to end up here at the age of 25 in a wedding gown getting ready to wed someone I just met once.

‎The painful part was I had nothing to loose but I had a lot gain. so, that again comforted me.

‎ " He's going to melt when he sees you" Ashley said as she giggled. Which made me suspect she was bipolar.

‎"Sure" I said as I sighed walking to stretch my legs and have a sit. My legs where about to give up on me.

‎"I know you're scared sis and... You actually don't have to do this " she said trying to sound supportive.

‎"I actually do you where there" I sighed "You heard him , or our heads...besides you'll finally live in a big house and you'll go to the school you've always dreamed of and mum..... she'll get proper treatments" I forced a smile as tears threatened to fall.

‎" Addy..... "

‎"I'm ok Ash " I smiled and hugged her tightly. "let's just stay like this for a while I'll be fine" I said not letting her go.

‎Ashley stood up and went to get the door. I stared ahead into the large mirror. From the distance, I looked happy I looked pleased I looked excited which was perfect cause this was how I was supposed to look.

‎"Addy it's from mum " Ashley said as she brought the box. My heart leaped as I ripped the box open.

‎I slowly opened it and it was a jewelry box. Attached to it was note with her beautiful handwriting.

‎ My lovely child. I know you never wanted this. I don't want this for you too and I'll forever feel the pain of notbeing able to help you. My daughter you're the strongest girl I know and I know you can handle this.

‎My eyes watered as I took out the necklace from the box. It a gold chain with an emerald pendant.

‎"It's so pretty" Ashley chimed and I nodded

‎"I know..... it's perfect" she helped me put on the necklace and I admired it.

‎This became my source of strength the necklace gave me hope that everything would be better.

‎The walk down the isle was the hardest walk I've ever taken in my life. My whole body felt heavy as I walked down the dammed isle.

‎My dad smiled sweetly as he took my arm which made me disgusted and angry. How dare he.

‎He sold me like nothing to a man for his stupid decisions and greed and now he's smiling, well I guess he's really happy he hit the jackpot.

‎I wanted to cry and scream no but it wasn't possible.

‎"Be good" my dad said as he pushed me towards Emilio. I repeat push.

‎I sighed as my husband to be took my arms and led me to the altar.

‎The bitterness I felt as we where saying the vows was beyond me. I could taste the distaste on my tongue as I said "I do" Ashley kept giving me thumbs up assuring me I was doing well.

‎After everything, I was led to a car by guards.

‎"Where are we going?" I asked one of the men.

‎"The reception ma'am" i relaxed in my seat.

‎"Hey!" Ashley said through the window and my face lit up.

‎"Get in here! " The guard opened the door and she got in.

‎"I bet your reception would be wonderful and grand imagine all the hot rich men I'll meet" Ashley gushed and I shook my head with a smile. This girl, I'll surely miss her.

‎" What do you expect it's the Estefan family we're talking about "

‎"You sound so hateful sis chill" Ashley shook her head and I relaxed further.

‎"Yeah well it's not everyday you find yourself married to a mafia"

‎"Well I would love to" she said beneath her breathe

‎"Oh my ...look at you loving the luxury" I scoffed. " You would've married him instead "

‎"Well.... I mean he wanted you " I shook my head and laughed as she laughed along. I haven't laughed like this in a long time.

‎The car suddenly stopped as I took in a deep breathe I haven't met the family members of Emilio and I was scared shitless.

‎The guard led I and Ashley through the red carpet with very beautiful flowers at each side. I walked slowly towards the door.

‎There where some people at the front including my husband. On getting there, I recognized his father Don Carlos. He was well known and well... Feared

‎"Hm.... Nice one you got Emilio" his father said as he took my hands in his. He gently placed a kiss on my hands as he smiled at me. I returned it as I turned to look at my husband who looked at me with pride.

‎" Of course Dad" Emilio smiled at me like a trophy which I didn't like. Well I didn't like anything at this point.

‎After a lot of awkward greetings, I finally sat my ass down. Ashley was right beside as I watched people have the time of their lives. Laughing happily and jumping.

‎I was seated at the bridal table with my husband beside me. Who didn't say a single word to me.

‎"Addy!" Ashley ran to me as she pulled me off my feet "our song!!!" She screamed dragging me off my feet away from the table which cause a flash of relief. I didn't notice that 'solo dance ' by Martin Jensen was playing. I laughed as I let her drag me to the dance floor .

‎The song made me feel a little bit alive as I screamed and danced. Ashley held my hips and guided me as I danced.

‎"You're not gonna disgrace me" She laughed as I nearly fell off. Unlike me, her sexy red strapless gown stopped mid thigh which gave her more freedom to dance. My long gown was making my movements very slow.

‎ The song ended and I wrapped my arms around her. I drew her close to me as we slowed dance.

‎"You have to admit Addy he's hot" Ashley said in my ears.

‎"Oh please"

‎"Come on and.... He's looking at you like a snack" I scoffed but I can't deny the blush creeping up my cheeks. " You love it" I rolled my eyes and she began to giggle.

‎"Visit ok.."

‎"Of course Addy you think I won't want to see my best sister?" She said

‎"I'm your only sister" i laughed .

‎"My point exactly" .

‎"May I?" A new voice said that made me halt stated strongly. I turned and it was Emilio. Ashley smiled and winked as she left.

‎We began to move to the beat of the song in complete silence which was choking me.

‎"You know. ...all your life you've been trash" Emilio said suddenly in my ears.

‎"What?" I asked shocked both by his words and his voice.

‎" Now...." He ignored me. "you'll be treated like a queen"
