LORENA'S POV

Coming here was awkward. After the confrontation my mother had with Eva, she made it mandatory to be at the office everyday when she never used to do that. I knew what she was doing. She was trying to keep an eye on me and to intimidate me but I had no reason to be scared of her.

My mother told me everything that happened at that event when the both of them had met. I never wanted any of them to find out but I guess fate had its own part to play in all this. Liam's behavior had changed towards me too. Obviously, his mother had told him I was his step-sister. That, I was happy about because I had been experiencing his legendary womanizing and it was becoming sickening having my brother hit on me. I couldn't stand the envious stares I got from the other female employees either. I guess they saw me as a threat and had started to be insecure.
