Charlotte:

Seeing the man responsible for everything I had to go through walking towards me made me furious. All the memories of what I had gone through flashed through my mind.

It made me so mad that Xavier went behind my back and invited him to the house despite my objections.

“You did this? You invited him here?” I whispered to him, tightening my hands, which were trembling from all the emotions I was going through all at once.

“I didn’t, Charlotte. I have no idea why he is here, he has not visited in years,” Xavier replied in a low tone before walking towards my father.

“What a pleasant surprise,” Xavier said while I stared angrily, thinking of what to do.

I could not just stand to see him so happy, he had a huge smile on his face that pissed me off.

“I was just passing the pack and needed somewhere to stay for the night. My car broke down a few miles from here,” Ethan replied, Xavier as they both walked towards me.
