Chapter 46 - Meeting in the diner
Hazel POV
“Are you ready to go?”, Elliot asks, and I nod my head. I close my eyes momentarily, resting my head against his broad chest. I take a deep breath as he wraps his arms around me tightly.
“I don’t like doing this”, I let out as I pull away from Elliot. He nods before he opens the car door for me. As I slide inside, I take a deep breath, and he closes the door. I requested an Uber from my house after Elliot drove me back. We can’t really order one from the safe house. Pavlov could track it.
When we reached the diner, I walked out of the car, thanking the driver that was talking to me all the way there. I hear the bell ringing as I open the door, and I smile as I watch the regular clients sitting in their usual spots.
I start walking towards Joe and spot Angel in one of the booths. His eyes meet mine, and he smiles.

Theo stands up and goes help Elliot, shakes him off and sits next to me. “Hazel, look at me”, he says, and I shake my head as I fiddle with my fingers playing with the engagement ring on my finger.
