The air sucked from my lungs. Her eyes stared at me, terrified, accusing.

I saw myself in the basement, pinned down. I screamed my throat sore, begged, but no one came.

"Like father, like son." Liam's voice echoed.

"Is this it, Aiden? Are you crossing the final line? Take me. I won't fight. You won't even give me a chance to."

It felt like she pushed a dagger into my chest and dragged it down.

I fell back, off the bed. "No. I didn't mean it. I just—"

"Where are you going?" She yelled, broken as she climbed down the bed. I scooted away from her. "Don't act like you are fucking hurt, Aiden. You don't get to act that way when you have done nothing but sexually assault me."

I stumbled to my feet, heart pounding furiously like it was trying to break free. I jerked away from her like she was fire when she tried to touch me.

I did the only thing I could think of.

I ran.

I ran like the coward I was. Away from her. From the truth, cause that was easier.
