Eric-

I have heard of others allowing their wolves to take control when they were with their mates because it allowed them to be with them. Tate had even told me of a time or two that his wolf had been granted control during certain instances. When Desmond wanted to do it, I figured it would be fine.

Now I realize I was completely wrong. For one I never even asked Leilani if she was okay with it. Looking at the deep bruising on her pelvic bone, I saw Desmond had been too rough with her. I knew everything that had happened, felt it even.

The entire time I had been too engrossed in how it made me feel that I failed to see how far he took it. I couldn’t take my eyes off the marks.

“Damnit, Eric! Look at me!” Leilani yelled, but I couldn’t bring myself to look at her.

“Do not see what you did?” I asked my wolf, needing him to understand how much he messed up.

He didn’t respond, yet I didn’t think he would. I had hoped I would feel his guilt or something, yet I felt nothing that signified
