Chapter 110
Brooklyn-
It has been nearly a month since my entire life has changed drastically. My uncle and I have become closer. I was able to learn a lot about him and my father. Tate and I have gotten past our issue after the way he reacted with the hunters.
I even found out that the reason for him reacting had nothing to do with what I had thought. Apparently, his instincts to protect me had what had kicked him into gear. He had told me that avenging his first mate is no longer his priority. He wants to protect me, avenging Leslie would just be a bonus.
We have been planning things to get my father back, which I think we have a good plan so far. We have even been able to reach the hunter. We found out the hunter’s name was Shane. It took less convincing than any of us thought was necessary to get him to agree to meet up for an exchange.

Brooklyn-Standing in the middle of the warehouse, I was wondering if Shane was even going to show. It has been roughly twenty minutes since we arrived and still no sign of him. Wonder if he caught onto our plan somehow and turned around. Brooklyn- “Just hang tight, I am working on a few things.” Tate’s voice rung through my head like a melody, calming me instantly. “What is going on?” I asked, not sure of much at this point. Other than hearing what Tate and my father were saying, I didn’t know what was going on. On the surface, it looks as if everything was going wrong. I knew I had a feeling things were not going to go as we planned. It had been too easy, but how bad were things really? Just by looking at Tate, I could see a lot was going on in his head. Brooklyn-When I finally reached Tate, he immediately grabbed me and pulled me to him. I had to clench my jaw to keep myself from screaming out, from the sudden movement it caused me. Twisting my leg slightly, I gazed down and found a blade embedded into my thigh.Reaching down, I yanked it out as quickly as I could. I felt myself become light-headed from the rush of pain and the blood loss, but it quickly faded. Brooklyn- Three days passed by and still no signs of Tate waking up. According to the pack doctor, she wasn’t sure if he even would wake up. I found out that wolfbane doesn’t just attack us physically, but it could also attack our wolf. Unless Axel can come out of it, there may be a chance that Tate could die. Even with the wolfbane completely removed, Tate wasn’t out of the woods yet. I have been staying in the hospital room with Tate, hoping that I would be there if he woke up. I have tried many times to reach him, even Skye has tried reaching Axel, but we have had no luck.
