Chapter 21

Audrey

Today had been hectic to say the least. Between meeting my parents, my sister and Kennedy, I also had to deal with their sudden questions and skepticism.

Before I had left home, they seemed to be alright with everything, making me wonder whether they had searched up Roman’s name and found something scandalous.

I hadn’t expected to run into him earlier. Truthfully, I wasn’t prepared and it brought back a lot of anger and thoughts about how he had been avoiding me as if I had done something to him, when he was the one that tried to kiss me.

Anyway, I was lucky I did ran into him, because that meant I wouldn’t have to introduce him again. The excuse of Roman being a busy crown prince worked wonders.

Lunchtime rolled around, and I was sitting with Kennedy and Ashley in the dining hall. My parents had scored themselves a tour of the kingdom with Lenny, Roman's butler.

"So, we're really eating rich people food, huh?" Kennedy positioned her phone over the food, to make some pictures.
