18-Whirlwind of Sentiments

Elena’s POV

The weight of their collective gaze bore down on me like an oppressive force, each glance from Anthony, Michael, and Fedora an intense beam that dissected my every movement. Why were they looking at me? And why do I have the problem of never looking away. Their scrutiny wrapped around me like a suffocating cloak that stirred an unsettling discomfort within.

I smiled, hoping it would drift their focusaway from me but it remained fixed on me, the air seemed like it grew taut with tension, permeating the ballroom with an unspoken unease worst than it already was. Their attention towards me created a vulnerable atmosphere, leaving me feeling exposed and naked, their eyes locking onto me with an almost palpable intensity. An anxious knot tightened in the pit of my stomach, a feeling of foreboding gripping me as their gaze bore down with escalating intent.
