Michael’s POV
Few days later
I despise silence, but today marked a different scenario.Anthony
and Iexchanged silent glances, we were both curiousawaiting an answer. Our
attentionwas nowfixed onAlfred, anticipating his words. Whether he genuinely found us intriguing or was merely jesting, I couldn't discern. This was the second time he had instructed us to wait.Under usual circumstances, I'd be seething with impatienceand maybe drawn out a few blood from him, but the gravity of the information
Alfredpossessed demanded a measure of restraintthat I was surprised we had. So, begrudgingly, we chose patience over frustration."Do you want to die?" Anthony finally broke the silence.
"Seconded," I spoke up. Alfred raised his head, looking at us with a smile. However, he quickly realized the gravity of the situation, and his smile transformed into a serious expression as he spoke.
"Alright, she's a rogue."
"We know that," Anthony's voice dripped with annoyance; he clearly wasn't in the mood.
"She's from the Alpha pack. Apparently, she almost killed the princess."
"Feisty. Now I know what drew me to her," I acknowledged.
"What else?" Anthony pressed for more details.
"Her parents died when she was younger. She's eighteen years old, an outcast, but I couldn't find out exactly why," Alfred stated. "That's all I know for now," he added, noticing our expectant stares.
"She seems quite harmless," Fedora added.
"You haven't had a wooden stake almost in your heart," I mocked Anthony, and Fedora burst into laughter.
Fedora was the prophtess of the park, she comes from a linage of great priestess called fought from the moon Goddess , her hair was white, she was black and her eyes were blue like the sea.
“forgiveness is key”, Fedora add
She knew that we didn’t give second chances and never forgive, it was unrecessary and for the weak. Fedora was almost like our childhood friend, she always went with us to war, she was like family, her father was our fathers bestfriend, his beta, she was the only one who didn’t mind her words when she was speaking to us
"Like we have a choice," Anthony remarked.
He wasn't wrong; there was a reason why we spared her life in the forest. A prophecy from long ago dictated that she was destined for us, well to be our mate.
That's why she had no choice but to accept our offer—it was preordained. Anthony and I were well aware of this truth."Finally, the prophecy is here. Does she know about it?" Fedora inquired.
"No, and she wouldn't, at least not now," I added, knowing the weight of the revelation we held.
“ what wouldn’t I know “ it was said in a whisper but loud enough for
everyone in the throne room to look at the entrance and see Elenaelegantly standing and staring at both of usfor answers. The room fell into an uneasy silence, this is the type of silence I didn’t like.Elena
walking into the palace and nowstood before us, demanding answers. Her eyes, a mix of determination and fear, darted between me, my twin Anthony, and the enigmatic Fedora and Alfred. It was a precarious moment, a crossroads between revelation and secrecy."So, what have you been keeping from me?" Elena's voice was surprisingly
loud andsteady, belying the tension that clung to her every word. From where I stood, I could detect the subtle quiver in her posture, the unspoken vulnerability beneath her brave facade. It amazed me that she could muster the courage to confront us, the Alphas, including the deadliest ones—Anthony and me.I noticed how neatly her hair was and Instead of saying “Wow” and probably tell her how beautiful she is.
I chuckled, don’t ask me why cause I
don’t know maybe it was just an attemptto inject a bit of levity into the situation. To my surprise, the humor fell flat; she didn't crack a smile. Anthony, the usually stoic one, stood there staring at her in awe. It was a rare sight—someone standing up to the Alphas, and she was doing it remarkably welland glowing with beauty at it.“What can’t you tell me?”, she asked again and her voice wasn’t sounding
patient.She was really developing
wings this pass few days, impressive.Elena pressed on, undeterred by my attempts at humor. We just met her few days ago how dear she question is. She doesn’t even know who
exactly we are, we weren’t friends and she never came out of her room in these few daysI noticed
Anthony's eyes bore into hers, curiosity etched on his face. Fedora, always the playful one, couldn't resist chiming in, "Maybe she's here for the thrilling company. Who wouldn't want to spend time with the Alphas?"Elena eyes switched immediately at
fedorawith an expressionof shut up and she didBut Elena wasn't swayed by our usual banter. Her eyes were fixated on Anthony and me, seeking answers we weren't eager to provide. She demanded the truth about the cryptic prophecy that had been kept from her.As she asked, my mind raced. She should not find out about the prophecy, and none of us were inclined to reveal it. It was a secret deeply rooted in the intricacies of our kind, a weighty burden we chose to bear silently.
Alfred, sensing the urgency of the situation, decided to share some information. "Elena, you're part of an
prophecy. It foretells the arrival of a roguewho is destined tobe mated with Anthony and Michealand who would change the fate of our park as our Luna, youare that rouge."Her eyes widened, absorbing the revelation, and her voice trembled as she asked, "Why didn't you tell me this before? Why all the secrecy?"
Anthony, usually composed, responded, "It's complicated. We didn't want to burden you with the weight of destiny. But now that you know, understand that you're crucial to our world
and you must be our mate."Fedora interjected with his characteristic smirk, "Look, Elena, it's not all doom and gloom. There's a reason why the prophecy brought you to us.
Your mates are hereto guide and protect you."Elena, torn between fear and a newfound sense of purpose, questioned our motives. "Is this why you offered me a place with you, or was it just part of the prophecy?"
I could see the vulnerability in her eyes, and despite my penchant for jokes, I softened. "It's both, Elena. The prophecy led you to us, but our choice to keep you was ours. We believe you can shape a better future for our kind."
As the room held its breath, Elena whispered, "What if I don't want this responsibility? What if I just want to live my life without being tied to some ancient prophecy?"
The weight of her words hung in the air, and the room fell silent again. Alfred stepped forward, his expression sympathetic. "Elena, the choice is yours. Destiny may guide, but you determine your path. We're here to support you, no matter what you decide."
We all stared at her waiting for her decision. A minute felt like an hour
“No”
“No?”, Anthony asked
and for the first time in years I heardshock in his voice“Yes!, I will not be subjected again to anyone and would
never be your mate “ she said and went out leaving us all in aweAnthony GothamMy body felt like it had been dragged through boiling concrete as I slashed repeatedly at Alfred’s humped beast. How long had we been at it? Circling each other on the gritty floor like prey?It felt like hours since I had left Elena safely in the bunkers with the other palace elite and we had managed to keep the rest of the beasts at bay.“Come on and give up already Anthony. You're not going to get very far,” Alfred hissed and rage sputtered inside me as I charged at him again, refusing to look back when Michael’s enraged bellow tore through the space and the ground shook heavily.Everything seemed to happen at lightning speed when I caught the Cove general glancing behind him, knowing it was the split second I needed before I lurched forward, raking my claws across his neck and watching his eyes bulge freakishly when he stared back at me.“Die, you filthy traitor,” I sneered as he clutched desperately at the thin line of blood that spread and puckered grossly until h
Queen Elena Gotham“Bloody hell, are they fucking trying to wake the dead?” The man’s voice in my ear growled and I tried to bite down on the laugh that bubbled up inside me.The noisy grind of saws and breaking concrete made me screw my eyes open with a satisfied yawn and my lips formed a smile at Michael’s husky voice.“Good morning my love-” Anthony growled before pressing his lips to my head, the amusement twinkling in his eyes as I blushed furiously, untangling my body from their twinned limbs. It had been almost three weeks since the war and the birth of our son, Aiden Gotham, and Carla’s daughter Yulga.Anthony and Michael had moved me fully into their grand chambers and Gotham’s rebuilding was slowly coming together, with double the size of the men and cannons we had before.“Your Highnesses! The royal mistress’ carriage is ready,” A guard’s voice boomed in the hallway and my shoulders tensed immediately as I sucked in a breath.Shit, I had almost forgotten we were supposed t
Michael GothamAdrenaline shot through my body like liquid dynamite and I knew deep inside me part of it had to be the curse working. It felt like a rift was opening in my head as my wolf shifted into place, my muscles bulging until there were plate-sized grooves in my shoulders and biceps before I charged at the flood of beasts, taking out a decent chunk of them by swinging my long sharp claws in a messy arc.“Who dares to invade Gotham?” I roared at the beast’s approaching and the frail line of guards between us with their shields up. Fuck, with most of our firepower soldiers injured I knew the string of guards would be no match for the colossal beasts that were pounding their way towards us with thick white drool dragging at the corners of their mouths.“Markov! Eyes on the gates! We need to stop that thing from getting any closer!” I thundered at the gaunt wolf who flashed his fangs in understanding, knocking down more the the beasts when they got too close.I flew at the beast a
ANTHONY GOTHAM“What the fuck was that?” Michael’s harsh voice rasped and I snapped my head up in time for a woman’s haunting scream echo through the dark woods again. The thick line of blood smeared around Michael’s jaw from the carcass he bit into looked garish with the silvery moonlight beating down on us between the thick pine trees. What the hell was any woman doing out here by this time? And why the hell did it sound so familiar? A bolt of unease rips through my gut when the woman’s screams comes again, closer...more desperate. My feet are moving before I can stop myself just as I hear Michael curse behind me before his heavy footfalls tear through the space. The sight of a large beast on top of the red-haired woman made a bellow break from my throat as I watched the Cove beast’s eyes snap up before he flashed his fangs at me and disappeared. Those eyes…shit! Alfred? “Are you okay Carla? Bloody hell, what the fuck were you thinking coming up here by this time?” I roared, cuppin
Carla WinehouseMy belly felt like a volcano pit about to erupt as I glared down at the dark-haired woman who watched me back with a stony expression on her face.“You are not allowed in my chambers, Carla Winehouse, how many times do I have to say it for it to get through to your thick skull-” Elena spat acidly, her bright grey eyes narrowing dangerously as I fought to keep the shock from showing on my face.My heart started its harsh mechanical grinding in my chest and it was all I could do to keep from leaping at her.Who the hell did she think she was?I stalked toward her slowly, waiting until I was only inches from her stupid perfect face to snap my claws around her neck, surprised when her hands shot up to squeeze my arms.“Just because you’ve been away for however long you have Elena, doesn't mean that anything’s changed in this palace,” I growled, tightening my claws around her neck before flicking her wrist away when she beat at my chest and shoved her into the wall. The rag
Michael GothamMy mouth tasted like a rat had curled up and died in it when I came to.“Michael? Can you hear me?” The rogue’s scratchy voice made me drop my fangs instinctively.Just how close was the motherfucker to me? Bloody hell if I didn't know any better I'd have sworn he had a crush on me or something! My eyes rolled around in my head before I dared to open them, the black pinhole of my vision slightly easing as I glanced around the dark room and realized I was hissing. What the hell was up with that?My veins felt like they were filled with molten lava and it was all I could do not to claw at the beautiful woman that strutted into the room only minutes after.“Could you get me more of this Markov? Please?” I whispered when he hesitated, still cradling Elena in my arms and watching his gaze flickered between the two of us before he snatched the blood bag from my hands, muttering curse words under his breath.“I'm not your fucking butler Gotham, get your own fucking blood next
