As Mason and Kalif stepped out of the Lycan king's office, Mason didn't say a word to him; instead, he walked behind until they were far away from the office, and Mason immediately grabbed his hand.

As Mason shoved Kalif to the wall, he was startled for a moment but his hand quickly reached for the gun in his pocket. Seeing the expression on Mason's face, he knew that this was not something for him to alarm.

“What is it, man? You almost scared me.”

“I don't know what is going on with you and Keira or what sort of plan that the both of you are hatching but whatever you do, make sure that it doesn't involve risking the life of his majesty”

Mason spoke in a very calm tone, yet his eyes still reeked of warning, one that was dark, and Kalif knew he meant it. But Kalif wouldn't stand being intimidated.

He shoved Mason away from the wall, staring directly into his eyes.
