Ahtisa's POV

Habang kumakain ako ay nakangiting pinanonood niya lang ako. Hindi ko alam kung ilang beses ko na siyang nairapan sa inis.

"P'wede bang sa sala ka muna? Naiinis akong makita ka rito, humph!" masungit na sabi ko at isinubo ang kutsara ng pagkaing niluto niya. Hindi ko kayang magsinungaling, masarap siyang magluto. Sa tingin ko ay kaya ko itong ubusin lahat. Pero syempre, hindi ko gagawin 'yon!

Baka isipin niya pa na matakaw ako kahit na hindi naman.

Nang matapos akong kumain ay tumayo na ako para ilipit ang pinagkainan ko. Inilapag ko ang plato sa sink at huhugasan ko na sana ito nang maramdaman ko ang pagpulupot ng kamay ni Kairon sa aking tiyan na ikinatigil ko.

"Leave it there, I'll do it. You can go back to your room and rest," bulong niya sa tenga. Naramdaman ko ang pagtaas ng mga balahibo ko papunta sa aking batok.

Gosh, b-bakit sobrang lapit niya?

Marahan niyang hinaplos ang tiyan ko na mas nagpapabigat ng paghinga ko, "I-I can do it, j-just go..." mahinang
