Chapter 7
Mario and Isabella Viscoli were quiet for a long while; their faces unable to hide the fact that they were both engaged in deep contemplation. Tony could only assume that they had been moved by his story and were considering changing their minds about joining forces with him in Moira’s rescue.
For the first time since being thrown out of the chapel by the mafia boss, Tony got a glimmer of hope for Moira and their future together. And of course, his mind quickly drew up new travel plans, optimistic that his girlfriend would definitely make it on the important trip back to his hometown; in just a day or two by his rough estimation. That feeling made him lean back into the comfortable sofa while he allowed his hosts time to carefully reconsider their earlier position on the matter.

Tony’s phone rang just as he left the Viscoli residence. He didn’t recognize the calling number but his sixth sense told him not to ignore it. After the infuriating encounter with Moira’s father, Tony was not in the best mood to make reasonable conversation. “Tony… is that you… Tony Scott?” the voice on the other end said as soon as Tony picked up the call. “Yes, who’s this?” Tony asked, half expecting it to be someone calling about his father. “It’s Ben… from the chapel. Entering Angelo Manzini’s estate was reminiscent of a certain scene from the old movie Blood Diamonds which captured the heavily guarded conflict diamond fields in Africa. Moira had never seen so many armed security guards in real life, at anyone’s residence; not even the president’s. It was like they were entering some kind of bandit army base.
