Olivia

The room where I stayed was cold, I was cold from lack of warm food and warm clothes. We were in the dead of winter and only had rags to wear. The day I left the mansion, Stanley didn’t take me anywhere I wanted, as I thought he would but he had brought me to this place in the middle of nowhere where I worked like a slave from sunrise to sunset. I couldn’t blame Stanley because I knew he took his instructions from his boss, and Leonardo must have told him to bring me to this place as punishment.

With the sins that I had committed against Leo, I would take the punishment anytime but only if he would let me bring my child with me, I knew I sounded selfish for wanting to bring up Cassie in a place like this when she was cared for and had nannies at her back and call.

The siren sounded from outside, and I knew it was only a matter of time before the guards came marching into the room and dragged me out.

I climbed down from my bunk bed, walked to the corner of the room, f

Melanie A woman about forty something with striking ginger hair and the bluest eyes I had ever seen stood on my door step. She was as thin as the models I usually saw on runaway. She cleared her throat and I remembered my manners. I tried to sound casual, "Bonjour." I said trying to look welcoming. "Hello. I'm Vanessa," the tall woman said and I breathed in a sigh of relief. "You speak English., Hi, I'm sorryI'm Melanie, I actually just moved in this morning." I said, words all tumbling out together at once. "I was just unpacking right now." I continued and gesture inside the cottage. "Would you like to come in?" I asked. "No thank you. I was passing by when I realised that your curtains were open and I thought I should come and introduce myself. I don't study far from here, a couple of houses down this same lane." Vanessa vaguely pointed in the direction of her house but I didn't follow it. And thankfully Vanessa didn't want to come in. she seemed to understa

Melanie I found the little town out of Paris a little strange when I compared it to the London town I had known all my life, but Paris had been the closest place I could fly to with my limited budget in at such a short notice. I had always wanted to be in Paris doing fashion but here I was in the village hiding. I figured that I would be much safer here, not that Leonardo would not be able to find me if he wanted to but it was going to give me some time to thing before I made the decision to move again. When the affair started I knew that Leonardo was married and I was fine with our arrangement until things took an ugly turn and I had to make a decision fast. So as dinjy as this place was this is where Im gonna stay until I figure out my next move. I unpacked my suitcase that had been standing against the wall since morning and looked around the small cottage, it was way smaller compared to the apartment Leonardo had given me in London but it would be enough. I layed

Leonardo The car stopped outside of Melanie's apartment in the evening. When I stepped outside the car, I noticed that the building looked the same but there was something eerie about it at the same time. I'd visited the place many times before and my instinct told me that something was not right tonight, maybe the curtains were drawn wrong, I couldn't place my finger on it. A gentle knock on the door told me that noone was home. I let the soft hum of the night settle around me as I slipped my fingers beneath the lapel of my coat, praying that maybe the reason Melanie was not opening was because she had not seen the texts I sent her. None of them reflected as being sent. I breathed in the evening air, the faint scent of tobacco and rain together with the cities distant sirens before I used my own key to open the door. The apartment that I had refurnished for Melanie was empty. I lifted my arm just enough to let the barrel rest against the inner seam of my jacket, t

Olivia Leonardo sat in the waiting car with a self righteous smirk that was suspicious. He looked as though he was enjoying my misery to the maximum. I knew that there was an ulterior motive as to why he had come to fetch me from the camp, maybe CiCi had told him of the state that we worked in or maybe just maybe he was willing to forgive me at last. I sat at the furthest corner in the car without a word. “Nervous? This is your last chance to go back if you want to.” Leonardo said I said nothing but instead looked further outside the window. Was this man being for real? Stanley put the car in motion and soothing music came from the speakers. It didn't seem like anyone was in a mood to talk. I knew that Leonardo was toying with my emotions because who didn't know that this was a hellhole. But then it wouldn't do me any favours if I gave him attitude right now. Cassie was the only person that mattered in my life right now, despite the generous gesture of coming to

Olivia Cici got up from the chair he had been occupying and stood next to me. He took my hands in his and I thought I would pass out from my happiness. At this point I could have been happy even if it had been Stanley standing in front of me. a familiar face was all I needed. “I’m sorry I wasn’t able to come sooner,” I nodded at his words, choked up by emotions, he was the first friendly face I had seen in eight months of the living hell I was in. “How’s Cassie?” I asked. His eyes dropped to the floor but he managed a weak smile, “she’s growing, you don’t have to worry about her, I’ll get you out of here.” A faint knock came from the door and Cici let go of my hands and cleared his throat, ready to leave. “Wait...” I said taking hold of his arm before he turned to the door. “How’s Leonardo?” I asked, searching his eyes for any emotional turmoil there but there was none, only defeat. He raked his hair with his fingers, “Leo is fine as well. You don’t have worry
