9. Birthday Party
Mike's POV
It was Saturday today. After the hectic week, it was time to relax today. Also, it was Catherine's birthday party. After knowing about Catherine and Lucas I didn't feel like going but since she had insisted so much the other day I am left with no option but to go. I didn't ask David to accompany me as he already advised me to stay away from her. So I thought of asking Jeff my roomie if he can accompany me.

Day of event, SaturdayFinally, the day has arrived. It was the event night. This was organized in XYZ office building as there was a huge event hall and beautiful garden area adjacent to it which is beautifully designed to organize all major events happening in the city. A wonderful idea to incorporate business. The sponsors just have to pay for the event part and not bothered about the event place and arrangements. Mike and Catherine went to the parking lot and sat in her car. Mike took the authority to drive since Catherine was in no condition to drive. She might be so tired as when we sat in the car she just rested her head on the seat back and closed her eyes. Next day they wake up by the sound of birds chirping and soft rays of sun falling on their faces. Mike saw Catherine who has tightly snuggled on him and sleeping. She is looking like a small cute baby. The rays of sun slowly interfered with her sleep as her face expression changed from calm to annoyed. She took the comforter and covered her face. Mike smiled a little. Mike slowly woke up making sure she doesn’t get disturbed and stretched his arm and then walked towards the terrace door making his way downstairs.
