تسجيل الدخول~ Rael's POV ~
There was something about the way Harriet looked at me that made it increasingly difficult to concentrate on anything else. She had a habit of pushing boundaries, testing my patience, and looking at me as though she knew precisely how much control she was taking away from me with every provocative smile. I had spent most of the afternoon reminding myself that she was trouble I didn't need, yet the moment she settled onto my lap in nothing but her bra, I found myself questioning why I had bothered trying to resist her in the first place. It had taken every ounce of restraint I possessed not to drag her into the restroom at the restaurant earlier when she had whispered those teasing words into my ear. With Kylie standing just outside the door, I had been forced to settle for a kiss, but Harriet's audacity had stayed with me long after we returned to the office. Now, she was sitting on my lap, looking at me with those innocent blue eyes that contradicted everything about her behavior, and I had reached the end of my patience. When she leaned closer and whispered, “Fuck me, Daddy,” I slipped one arm beneath her knees and lifted her effortlessly, earning a startled gasp from her as I carried her toward the adjoining lounge. “You've awakened the monster, Harriet,” I murmured against her ear as I pushed the door open. “What exactly do you intend to do with him?” She shivered at my words, but rather than look away, she wrapped her arms around my neck and met my gaze with a confidence that would have been impressive if I hadn't known how much trouble she was capable of causing. “I'm yours, Daddy,” she whispered. A dark smile tugged at my lips as I carried her inside and lowered her onto the couch. There was no denying the effect she had on me, but I was far more interested in discovering whether she understood the consequences of the game she had chosen to play. Harriet seemed to believe that she could provoke me whenever she pleased and walk away untouched, as though I were simply another man she could manipulate with a few sweet words and a seductive smile. She was about to discover that I wasn't nearly as easy to control as she imagined. I removed my belt and caught her wrists, securing them loosely enough to avoid hurting her while making it clear that I had no intention of allowing her to dictate what happened next. Her playful expression faltered for a moment as she watched me, and I couldn't help noticing the uncertainty that briefly flickered across her face. It was the first sign that she might finally be realizing how far she had pushed me. “Still feeling brave?” I asked, lifting her chin so that she had no choice but to meet my eyes. She swallowed before nodding, and the sight brought a faint, humorless laugh from my throat. “That's what I thought.” I leaned closer, capturing her lips in a kiss that left little room for another clever remark. For once, Harriet seemed content to let me take the lead, and I found myself enjoying the rare silence almost as much as I enjoyed the way she clung to me. When I finally drew back, she looked at me with flushed cheeks and parted lips, and I brushed a stray lock of hair away from her face. “You've been awfully comfortable provoking me all day,” I remarked. “Tell me, little troublemaker, did you really think you could get away with it?” Her lips curved into a defiant smile. “I never said I wanted to get away with anything.” That answer earned her a long, assessing look. She was either remarkably fearless or considerably more foolish than I had initially assumed. Perhaps it was a little of both. I drew her closer, letting the silence stretch between us until her confident expression began to waver beneath my gaze. Harriet had spent the entire day trying to get a reaction out of me, but she was beginning to understand that I could be just as patient when I wanted to be. “Look at me,” I instructed. Her blue eyes met mine. “Who do you think you're playing with?” “You,” she answered softly, her smile returning. I chuckled, shaking my head at her audacity before leaning in to kiss her again. There was something undeniably captivating about the contrast between her bold words and the uncertainty she occasionally struggled to hide, and I suspected that her desire to provoke me had become almost as much a part of her as her stubborn pride. Yet, even as I pulled her closer, one thought lingered at the back of my mind. Kylie. My fiancée was somewhere in the city, probably preparing for the engagement banquet that evening, blissfully unaware that her younger sister was determined to turn our lives into a disaster. I should have been thinking about the consequences, about the scandal that would erupt if anyone discovered what was happening between Harriet and me, but instead, I found myself wondering what the little troublemaker would do next. That was the problem with Harriet. She made recklessness feel like a challenge, and I had never been particularly fond of walking away from one. I rested my forehead against hers, studying her face as my expression gradually grew serious. “You need to understand something,” I said quietly. “You may think this is a game, but there are consequences to everything you do.” For the first time, she didn't answer immediately. Her gaze searched mine, and I wondered whether she was finally considering the possibility that I wasn't the only person capable of getting hurt. Then she smiled again, that familiar, infuriating smile that suggested she had no intention of backing down. “I'm not afraid of the consequences, Rael.” I held her gaze for another moment before allowing a slow smile to spread across my face. “We'll see about that.”~Author’s POV ~The silence that followed Simon’s declaration was so profound that the gentle hiss of the espresso machine from behind the counter sounded like a roar. Lena’s hand, which had been bringing her boba tea straw to her mouth, froze mid-air. Her eyes wide and unblinking, darted between Simon’s smug, triumphant face and Harriet’s serene one as she took a slow, deliberate sip of her apple juice.Harriet Anderson, her friend, the girl she’d shared instant noodles and late-night study sessions with, was the secret founder and owner of one of Country B's most successful skincare brands? The brand Simon Carter, international heartthrob and celebrity, was the assistant CEO of? The math wasn’t mathing. It was like discovering a pet cat was secretly a tiger that owned the zoo.“I’m sorry,” Lena finally managed to voice out, lowering her cup. “Could you… could you repeat that? My ears must be deceiving me. I thought you just said Harriet is your boss. The boss of… Beauty Blossom.”

When he finally did, he stared up at the computer screen. “The meeting is a journey,” he muttered before finally ending the call. It was only then that Harriet realized he was on a call meeting. She almost slapped herself, feeling embarrassed after they all heard her call him ‘daddy’ In the end, she put up a strong front, only smiling. But when Rael's gaze finally turned to her, she froze in place, unable to look away. His gaze seemed to pierce into her deeply, but this time, his eyes weren't cold. He looked at her seriously before muttering, “Thank you,” It wasn't loud, but she had caught it clearly. The almighty Rael Morgan was actually thanking her right now! Excited, she took out her phone, and with a subtle ‘CLICK’ took a photo of him. Staring at it, she smiled, showing it to him. “See? ~Author’s POV~ Harriet stood there in a daze before going to stuff the chocolate into her bag and changing her underwear. By the time she walked down, the man was already seated at the time, his gaze focused on a newspaper while he slipped from a can of coke. What exactly was his obsession with the drink? She thought as she descended the stairs. When he saw her, he immediately ordered the maids to serve the food. All the while, they ate in silence, only the sounds of their utensils reverberating in the hall. They had barely reached half of their meal when Uriel walked in, clad in a flashy outfit that could almost tell what profession he was in. “Missed me? I'm finally back from shooting the reality show,” he muttered to Rael who barely even looked at him.“C'mon, you're such a killjoy. Oh, sister-in-law, I didn't see you there,” Uriel muttered after catching sight of Harriet on the table. He immediately understood why Rael had not paid any attention to him. Tsk…all for a human wo
~Author’s POV~Kylie had been asleep for as long as she could remember. When her eyes finally opened, she found herself in a hotel room with an old man she had never seen before. His eyes scanned her body, drool sliding down the corners of his lips, making her wrinkle her nose in disgust. She suddenly remembered the incidents before she passed out–kissing Rael, having Kai take her away. Everything had come rushing back, making her hurry to the door. It wasn't until she realized that it was locked from the outside that she immediately realized that she was in trouble.“Hey, unlock this door,” she ordered, not hiding her spoiled, bratty behavior in front of the old man. He only cast a lustful gaze at her before closing in on her. Kylie felt that something was wrong with this man, but before she could put her finger on it, he had already pinned her on the ground, tearing the little clothes she had left. “Let me go! What are you doing?” She yelled, dread immediately filling her as she n
~Author’s POV~ “You, why are you staring like that? Go inside and bring your sister out!” She yelled, her eyes cold.Harriet took one glance at her, feeling disappointed to the core. This was none other than her own grandmother. But then again, she wasn't too surprised, the woman never really liked her. “We saw the Livestream, you vixen. Stealing Kylie's fiancé and even living in his house? You're as shameless as your good for nothing mother!” She yelled, and just then, she started coughing, making Miranda pacify her. “Mother, take it easy. Harriet will give Kylie to us now, right?” Mr Anderson asked, making Harriet’s lips curl up. The truth was that after seeing Rael Morgan's subordinate take Kylie away, they knew at that moment that they needed to save her. They couldn't go to Rael directly, so they could only come to Harriet. “You have only a few months to live. Your lungs are failing,” Harriet said to her grandmother, whose eyes widened.“Are you cursing me? How dare you?” E
~Author’s POV~ “Wha–” she started, but was cut off by the hand that came to cover her mouth in the next second. With one hard jab of her elbow, she struck the person, hearing a groan erupt from his lips, but still, he didn't let her go. It wasn't until that familiar Sandalwood smell hit her nostr
~Harriet~ My eyes fluttered open, taking in the light that filtered through the curtains. My skin brushed the sheets, and I groaned. Rubbing my bleary eyes, the incidents from last night flashing through my mind. The banquet, the wine, and then nothing. Had I gotten drunk? I got off the bed, my d
~Rael~“You're playing with fire, little lamb,” I muttered through clenched teeth, feeling my fangs that had started to elongate. This woman was playing with a furnace she couldn't quench, yet she hadn't realized it just yet. “Touch me, please,” she begged, making me swallow hard. My eyes darkened
~Rael~ I'd been talking with a few business men, yet, my ears had caught her words from afar.
