Athena’s POV

I had the best sleep I’ve had since I came back to the pack house. The soft sound of waves outside the window made me feel peaceful.

The bed was big and warm, and the sea breeze smelled like salt and flowers. I stretched slowly, my body relaxed in a way it hadn’t been for weeks. For the first time in so long, I didn’t wake up from nightmares or tears.

Travis had brought me to the beach house, far from the chaos of the pack. It was quiet here. No whispers. No judging eyes. No pressure.

I smiled and sat up, running my fingers through my hair. Then I paused.

Something sparkled around my neck.

I looked down and gasped softly. A beautiful diamond necklace lay against my skin. The stones were small but bright, shining even in the morning light. I gently touched it, feeling the weight and smoothness.

I was still staring at it when the door opened.

Travis walked in, dressed in a simple white shirt and dark pants. He looked calm and happy. His eyes met mine, and he smiled.

Paige's POVI had been patiently waiting for the full moon. Arrow and I had a perfect plan.On the night of the full moon, when everyone in the pack would be busy celebrating, dancing, and howling in joy he would murder Athena. He promised it would be quick and clean and I trusted him. He hated Athena just as much as I did. All I had to do was stay low, out of sight and keep myself invisible.I avoided everyone at the pack house. I didn’t eat in the dining room or hang around the halls. I didn’t want to risk anyone noticing me or asking questions that might raise suspicion until then.No one could know what was coming and I was glad the full moon was just a few days away.It was evening and I decided to go downtown. There was a private pub near the edge of town. It was dark and quiet, and no one from the pack usually went there. The streets were cold so I wore a big hoodie and jeans ignoring everyone who greeted me until I heard laughter in front of me.I turned slightly and saw a grou

Paige’s POVI walked into the warehouse. It was dark and cold inside. The air smelled like smoke and old metal. Pieces of broken chairs and smashed crates were on the floor. I wore all black; boots, jacket, gloves and my heart was beating fast, but my face stayed calm.Arrow was fuming. He threw a glass bottle against the wall. Another crate went flying and his hands were clenched into fists, knuckles white, chest rising and falling with each deep breath. I stood at the entrance, watching him."Arrow," I called gently. He stopped and turned slowly, his face tight with pain and rage."You fucking failed," I said. His jaw tightened and looked away."I lost Night and Poison," he said, voice low and rough. "They're gone."My heart ached too. Night and Poison were my brothers too even though none of use were related by blood, just like arrow."It was supposed to be Athena," I said quietly. "She was the target."Arrow picked up a chair and threw it across the room. It hit the wall and broke

Travis’s POVI sat with Matthew and Marcus deep in thought. The room was quiet and the single bulb above us was swinging slightly. I leaned forward, resting my arms on the table focused.“I need everything on the Triangle Gang,” I said, seriously. “Everything you know.”Matthew looked at me and nodded slowly. His face was calm, but I could see the worry in his eyes. “The Triangle Gang,” he said, “was also called the Wolf Gang. They were the most dangerous gang around eight years ago, they went underground and no one has heard from them again. I thought they were gone for good and finished.”“Well,” I said, voice sharp, “they're not finished. They tried to murder me and Athena.”Marcus frowned. “The issue is we have no lead and we don’t know why or what their purpose was or if they were targeting you or Athena?”I shook my head. I had thought about it so many times, but nothing came to mind. Athena was good and kind and also poor so why would a deadly gang go after her?“They must know

Hudson’s POVI had been drifting around the pack like a ghost. No duties, no purpose. Just… existing. The Alpha had refused to give me anything to do, still angry about how I had acted weeks ago. I didn’t blame him. I had messed up badly but being ignored like this hurt more than I thought it would so I gave up.My days became the same wake up, drink, play video games, sleep and repeat.I didn’t even care about the taste of the alcohol anymore. I just needed to feel numb and to forget that Athena still wouldn’t look at me and also forget that she was going to marry my father. That wedding was still happening. The whole pack knew it and the preparations were ongoing. Invitations were already sent and I had met her during her dress fitting.I had tried to stop it before; shouted, begged, argued, cursed but none of it worked and now I was just… tired. The only thing that brought even a flicker of interest in my chest was Athena. But she barely even looked at me anymore not since I made

Paige’s POVI stepped into the dark room. The smell of thick smoke hit me first. Smoke curled in the air like ghosts dancing slow. My boots clicked against the cold concrete floor. The warehouse was wide and shadowy and the lights above flickered, barely working. The room was filled with crates and metal shelves. Guns lay scattered on some tables shiny black ones, long rifles, and tiny silver pistols. There were boxes too, stacked high, with strange names printed on them. I knew they were full of drugs.Men stood in small groups, some laughing, some whispering. Their eyes turned to me as I walked by, but no one said a word. Smoke drifted up from their lips and someone handed me a lit joint without a word. I took it and breathed in deep.Staying in the pack, I couldn’t smoke as much as I wanted but here, I could be myself.I walked slowly toward the long table at the back of the warehouse and saw him. "Arrow," I said.He looked up and scoffed. A deep scar ran across his cheek, from hi

Paige’s POVI smiled lazily; Athena didn’t know what was coming for her but she won’t be able to survive it.She walked around the pack like a queen, so sure of herself. Always smiling, always being kind, portraying herself as the perfect Luna. Everyone talked about her like she was some kind of gift from the moon and it made me sick.So when I heard about the event she was planning for the poor and the prisoners I almost choked on my drink.“Free the prisoners and feed the poor,” I said in a mocking voice, laughing to myself. “What is she? A saint now?”She had invited the whole pack. The Alpha was proud of her, the elders were impressed and even the little pups looked up to her like she was made of gold. But I knew better and I wasn’t going to sit and watch her shine while I faded into the background. I was going to ruin her and her syupid golden image. She wanted to help people? I would make sure her big, bright moment turned into the biggest embarrassment of her life.I got to wo
