110: Most Awkward Moment

"Uhm, I should be leaving now. So you both could have your best moment," I remarked, but Conan did as if my presence wasn't felt in the room. He completely ignored me.

I sighed and stood up to leave. "Sweethearts, I will be in the room," I said to the kids, but they did not even bother to glance at me, talk more of saying a word. They were more focused on their dad, asking him a lot of questions and climbing on his body.

I gulped down hard, with a hint of betrayal written over my face and pain surging through my heart. The pain of seeing my own kids ignore me. In honesty, it hits hard.

Well, I could not blame them because they were just kids. They don't know what they are doing nor do they know the value of the secret I tried to hide.

I let out a deep sigh and gently walked out of the chamber, heading to the guest quarters.
