97: Two Things Involved

The weight of last night's incident weakened me as I woke the next day.

I stared beside me, and Yvonne was still sleeping. I glanced at the wall clock and realized that it was already seven o'clock a.m.

Yvonne had refused to sleep last night. Instead, she was sobbing, cursing, and wailing for the loss of her children until around two o'clock in the morning before she finally dozed off.

I sighed, caressed her cheek and her hair, and covered her body perfectly with the duvet before I gently walked down from the bed, heading to the restroom to rinse my face and also brush my teeth.

Yvonne had refused to go back to her room last night but insisted on going in search of her kids. Honestly, it was a tough fight before I was able to convince her to withdraw from going to search for them that night after multiple promises and assurances I gave her.
