Solara’s pov

“Dad…?” Camille’s voice trembles. Fuck I couldn’t see a thing.

“Dad, are you there…?” Her voice echoed through the cave. I could tell she was about to cry out.

“Camille, stay where you are, I'll come to you.” I said with so much confidence even if I am trapped in here with her. In the dark.

She sobs. If I haven’t wished to have my wolf before, maybe I would wish for it now— hearing how frightened Camille is. I could have seen in the dark but I can’t.

She wasn’t supposed to touch that stone. It closes for hours, and that was because it protected our ancestors from the outside world where the plague was.

“Camille can you hear me?” I tried to keep a conversation with her so I could follow the direction of her voice.

“Yes..” she sobbed. Her voice echoed but sounded stronger from the right side. I took a turn, and I took my steps one at a time, hoping not to crash into anything. I stretched my hands forward hoping to touch her.
