Lust and kidnappings

Diana felt her nervousness increase as she was leaving her friend's house.

She had first taken a taxi to the Haven to retrieve her car, then drove home. She was apprehensive about seeing her husband but she knew that she had to go home. She could not hide forever.

Her nose was invaded by the smell of alcohol and she deducted that Matteo was home. She felt wary of her husband to enter yet she could not keep standing in the doorway forever.

She took a deep breath and entered the living room. The first thing she spotted were shards of a broken bottle at the far end of wall of living room.

She knew it was as a result of yesterday's spite with her husband. She wondered where he was. She immediately went into the kitchen to get a broom and trash can. There was no harm in cleaning it away instead of waiting first for Matteo to come do it.
