Archer

My head was hurting so bad, and I couldn't see anything. I couldn't move any parts of my body. I realised I was in the hospital because of the beeping monitor.

I lay there for a solid five minutes before I could move my finger. Finally. I struggled, but I finally started moving other parts of my body, too.

Yes, finally. My vision also started to clear up. Even though I couldn't see properly, I could see just a little bit.

I blinked from time to time trying to clear up my vision. After what felt like forever, my vision cleared, and my body cooperated with me.

Someone was sitting beside me, El? The person realised my sudden movements and immediately exited the room and returned with a doctor.

The doctor started examining me, and at this point, my vision had become normal. I realised that it was Savien and not Elena, and I was sad.

Elena“El…”. A voice… soft, familiar, and cruelly distant, sliced through the evening air.I turned slowly, almost afraid that my ears were playing a cruel trick on me. But they weren’t. My eyes locked onto a woman standing just a few feet away. My breath caught in my throat. My heart was beating so fast that I feared she might have heard it.She hadn’t changed much. The same brown eyes I used to see in the mirror. The same soft curls, only with more grey now, and the same awkward half-smile she always wore when she didn’t know what to say.My mother. After all these years. I guess Pius finally let her go, or she escaped? I don't know, but I don't think I want to see her. Yes, I was desperate to find her because she is my mother and I needed her.But I am her daughter, too. How could she leave me with such an abusive man and never look back? Did she even regard me as her child? She was well aware of how my fat

ElenaI paced up and down, lost in thought, when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to meet Savien’s piercing eyes.He looks like he's holding back so many things. “You need to see a doctor. You're not well.” “B…but Edward.”“He'll be fine, I'm here with him.” I nodded and walked away with the doctor who was standing by him. They gave me something, and I soon drifted to sleep. I woke up feeling extremely tense. I needed to see Edward. I tried yanking the drip off my hand, but a nurse saw me and immediately rushed to my side. “Ma'am, don't do that. You need to rest. You're very weak and dehydrated. You need enough rest,” she said as she calmed me down.“But, I need to see my husband he's hurt. I need to see him.” I nearly burst into tears, but she stood her ground.“Where's my baby?” I asked, and she pointed to the corner of the room. “She's over there. Do you want to hold her?” I nodded, and she

ElenaI stood inside the quiet room while holding my baby against my chest. She whimpered softly, and I caressed her face to calm her down. She must be so scared.I pressed my lips against my baby’s forehead and whispered, “Shhh… Mama’s got you. We’re getting out of here.”Crystal had been gone for fifteen minutes now. I don't know, I don't think I want to stick around to find out. I need to somehow leave this shit hole. I scanned the room, my heart pounding in my chest as I walked towards the doorTo my surprise, the door was unlocked. Is this some kind of trap? I don't care, I need to escape no matter what.I stepped into the hallway, It was dim, lit only by a flickering bulb in the ceiling. The place was an old, abandoned house, probably chosen on purpose for how forgotten it was. Every door had a lock. I walked carefully across the cold concrete floor. My legs were weak and trembling beneath me. My b

ArcherI stayed glued to where I was standing, looking at him with so many thoughts going through my head. Ric, my right-hand man, was the only person I trusted throughout these years. The only man who would go through hell just to be by my side, only to be standing by my greatest nemesis, Pius. None of these made sense to me, but I had to suck it in.“Ric?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Savien was beyond shocked, but there was another emotion, anger.“What the hell is this?” he barked, stepping forward before I put an arm across his chest. I needed answers more than I needed revenge. Ric stood on his grounds, his eyes glued to me, his body stiff. He wasn't smiling, he looked stoic, he stared at me like he had been waiting his whole life for this.“You finally look like a human, Archer,” he said. “Shocked. Hurt. Vulnerable. It suits you.”“What are you doing?” My mouth was dry. “How could you do this? After being together all these years, this is how you repay me?” My voi

Elena“Hey, hey, hey.” Crystal snapped her fingers in front of me to wake me up. “Don't die yet. We need to finish what we started.” She said sarcastically as she returned to where she was sitting. My wrists ached from how tightly they were tied to the headboard. The ropes were coarse, digging into my skin.“Crystal…please…let me at least feed her.” I struggled to speak. I was sweating profusely, and my heartbeat had slowed down. I could barely hold. My head is up at this point. My baby was crying, I couldn't hold her or comfort her, I couldn't feed her or assure her that her mum would protect her. I've failed as a mother. I can't even protect my child. “Ahh, this is so annoying. Will you shut that brat up?It's fucking up my ears.” Crystal’s voice rang out, sharp and full of irritation. She stood by the door, arms folded, her expression as cold as the cement walls surrounding us."She’s a baby, Crystal," I said through clenched teeth. "She’s hungry. She’s scared. Just bring her to
