"Honey, how long will you be gone this time?"

I lay on the bed, catching my breath for a moment before getting up to help my husband, Dylan Gallagher, pack.

Dylan was a long-haul trucker. He spent more time on the road than he did at home. Each trip took at least a week, sometimes half a month, before I saw him again.

When we first got married, I thought it was a great job—good money and the chance to see the country.

But over the years, the reality of being a trucker's wife started to sink in.

With Dylan gone so often, I was constantly left alone.

I was a woman with needs. When I was younger, it didn't bother me as much, but as I got older, those desires only grew stronger.

Now that I was in my 30s—prime years for a woman—seeing Dylan only a few times a month was becoming unbearable.

Watching my friends go home to their partners every night, I couldn't help but feel envious.

To make matters worse, Dylan's constant driving and long hours of sitting without exercise had worn him out. He was only in his 30s, but his stamina was already failing.

On the rare occasions he was home, he couldn't satisfy me.

I was in my best years. I shouldn't feel like I was living the life of a widow.

The intimacy we just shared was dull, but I faked my satisfaction just to protect his ego.

"The route is a bit longer this time," Dylan replied. "It'll be at least two weeks round-trip."

Two weeks. Not only was the quality lacking, but now the frequency was dropping too.

"Why don't you come with me this time?" he asked.

"What?"

He wanted me to go on the road with him? I looked at him, surprised.

In the past, I'd begged him to let me tag along so I could see new places, but he always refused. He used to say the company assigned him a partner, and having me there would be inconvenient. What changed?

"Well, I've seen some of the other guys bringing their wives along. It's nice to have a hot meal during the day and someone to hold at night. It sounds a lot better than being alone."

So, that was his angle. It seemed I wasn't the only one tired of our long-distance arrangement.

I was about to agree when a thought struck me.

"If I go, what about Raul?"

Raul Anderson was Dylan's partner. On long hauls, they took turns driving.

"Forget about him. He'll be driving, and we'll be in the back doing our thing. If that's not exciting enough for you, I'll tell him to pull over so he can join in…"

"What are you talking about?" I hissed, covering his mouth.

Truckers—especially the long-haul guys—had a habit of talking dirty to pass the time, but I couldn't believe he was saying such things about me. I was mortified.

Yet, despite the shame, the image Dylan planted in my mind began to take root.

Two strong men, one in front, one behind…

I pressed my hands against my burning cheeks, forcing the thoughts away, and hurried to finish packing.

"You little minx. You actually like the idea, don't you?"

The next day, I trailed behind Dylan with my luggage. Once we got in the truck, I noticed Raul was already there.

Dylan had brought him over for dinner once before, so we weren't strangers.

He was several years younger than Dylan and far more muscular. Standing at least 6'1", he seemed to fill the entire driver's seat.

Raul greeted me warmly. "Hey, Maia. Thanks for joining us on this run. Sorry to put you to work."

I smiled politely. "It's just some cooking. It's no trouble at all."

"Well, I'm looking forward to getting a taste of you on this trip."

"Oh, it's no big deal, really," I replied.

But as the words left my mouth, something about his sentence felt off.

Dylan slapped Raul on the shoulder with a loud thud. "You brat! I'm letting you share her cooking, not her. Don't even dream about it. Tonight, you can just keep your eyes on the road and listen to us having a good time."

  • Crazy Tales from the Truck   Chapter 8

I had told Cara I'd be back in ten days, but as she watched my Instagram updates claim I was deep in the wilderness, she sensed something was wrong. My phone went unanswered. When she went to our house to press Dylan for answers, he claimed I had vanished in the wilderness and that he'd already called the police.Cara knew for a fact I hadn't gone to Quenvale. Growing increasingly suspicious, she went to the authorities and laid out everything she knew.Up until that point, the police had been wasting resources searching the wilderness areas from my Instagram posts. Only now did they realize they had gone completely in the wrong direction.Security footage revealed me boarding Raul's truck, proving I had never headed toward Quenvale at all. After a series of investigations and interrogations, Raul confessed to his crimes. The police even uncovered a string of cases linked to him involving the trafficking of women.I wasn't the first woman he had sold.Using his job as a long-hau

Listening to Raul's smug words, I felt my heart plummet into a dark abyss. He had planned every detail.A while later, a man's voice barked from outside, asking if the goods were ready.Raul shouted back, pulled a black sack over my head, and tossed me over his shoulder. He carried me out and threw me into a vehicle. The interior reeked, but I was in no state to care. I huddled inside the sack, my limbs cramped and bound. I could only feel every bump along the road, but I had no idea where I was being taken.I didn't know how much time had passed before I was dragged out of the car and carried into a room. The door slammed shut, and a man yanked the black bag off my head. The sudden light blinded me for a moment. As my eyes adjusted, I realized that calling this place a room was a generous overstatement. It was a livestock pen.The floor was covered in dry straw. At regular intervals, sturdy wooden poles rose from the ground, and to each pole, a woman was tethered. They were st

"Maia, let's find a motel tonight. You look exhausted after these past few days," Raul said.My face flushed. He wasn't tired, but I was.He was incredibly considerate. Since I really was feeling under the weather, I agreed.Raul knew the area well. After weaving through several backroads, he pulled up to a small, two-story motel. It sat in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing but barren land. It was the kind of place only long-haul truckers frequent.Likely due to the lack of guests, the place was poorly maintained. The hallways were dimly lit and eerie. The room wasn't much better. The sheets smelled of mold, making me wrinkle my nose. It was actually filthier than the truck.Still, this wasn't the city. Just having somewhere to stay is already good enough. And since Raul had gone to the trouble, I didn't want to complain.I collapsed onto the bed, my body feeling like lead.Raul climbed over me, and we shared a passionate moment. When it was over, I nudged him away,

On the very bed I shared with Dylan, I betrayed him once again. This arrangement continued for a while, but eventually, Raul grew restless. One day, he told me he had a long-haul run coming up through the Quenvale-Talcrest route and asked me to come along."Maia, just say yes. You have no idea how much I envied Dylan during those days. I want to experience that feeling of having a home on the road too."I stared at him, speechless. This was beyond bold. It wasn't enough that he was coming to my house. Now, he wanted me to go on the road with him?A trip like that would take nearly two weeks. If Dylan ever found out, he'd kill me."Come on, just tell him you're going on a trip with some girlfriends. Post a few landscape photos on Instagram. No one will know where you actually are. Maia, I promise I'll take real good care of you this trip."He held me, coaxing and pleading until my resolve began to crumble. To my surprise, I actually felt a spark of excitement.Traveling the Quen

I was no match for Raul's strength. In that humiliating position, Raul took everything he wanted from me.With tear-filled eyes, I tried to straighten my disheveled clothes and hair.Dylan was still snoring. The weight of the situation hit me, and the tears started flowing uncontrollably.Raul pulled out some tissues and tried to wipe them away, but they wouldn't stop."God, you're a sensitive one, aren't you?" he remarked with a frown.Seeing me sob harder, he gave me a smile to soothe me. "Maia, the first time is always the hardest. I'll be gentler next time. Besides, it's your fault for being so loud at night. I couldn't take it anymore."This bastard. He assaulted me and had the nerve to blame me for it.I swung my fists at him, but hitting his solid muscles felt less like an attack and more like a lover's tease. It had no impact at all."Alright, alright. I know Dylan can't satisfy you. I'm just being a good friend and giving you a little extra. Stop being so stubborn."T

  • Crazy Tales from the Truck   Chapter 3

I woke up feeling utterly exhausted. Dylan was already at the wheel, driving through the morning.I stayed in the bunk, quietly watching the two men, but I found my eyes drifting toward Raul far more often today. The truck was equipped with a tiny kitchenette, enough to make a few fresh dishes.I started prepping breakfast, though my mind was miles away.Suddenly, Raul crowded into the small space beside me. "Need a hand with that, Maia?"The cabin was incredibly cramped. With a man of his size pressing in, I was practically pinned into the corner.Whether it was intentional or not, his thigh brushed firmly against mine. The heat radiating through his pants made my head spin, and my focus slipped. The knife caught the tip of my finger."Maia, are you okay?"Before I could react, Raul grabbed my hand and pulled my finger into his mouth. He sucked on it firmly, his tongue swirling around the small cut.Terrified, I tried to pull away, but his grip was like iron.I froze, glanci
