Newcomer

Salene’s POV:

I start walking towards the counter as I pause to try and think of an excuse as to why I would be going up there. A million things rush through my head. I hear footsteps so I look up. It’s the new guy coming right at me!

“Can I help you, miss?”

“Selene!” I yell a little bit louder than I intended, holding out my hand.

“Jacob, but my friends call me Jake.” He takes my hand.

“Nice to meet you.” I reply trying not to blush.

“Do you need me to cash you out?” He says staring at me in wonder.

“No.” I say and retreat back to my friends.

I do kind of like a sprint walk type thing towards my friends. The closer I get to them the more I see and hear them laughing.

“Your blushing!” Claire points out as we walk out the door.

We all get into the parking lot as we split ways with Rob. He had a newer jeep that was like green. I always thought his car was funny. But I would never tell him that. Me and Claire arrive back at my house just as y mother was leaving. I loved my mom a lot. She was always supportive and always treated me really well. Along with my friends I brought over. We both did a quick wave as we passed each other. We stopped at the kitchen to see what the cooks menu looked like for the day. Then headed to my room. When we got there we both flung ourselves onto the bed.

“What should we do the rest of the day?” I said

Me and Claire both looked at each other and yelled “PARTY!!”

Laughing we both got up and started doing our hair and makeup and trying on different outfits. We decided we didn’t like anything so we decided to go to our packs mall. They had a store in there that was my all time favorite!

We put on easy to change out of clothes and headed back to the car. It was about a 30 minute drive from my place to the mall. We just jammed out to music while doing our little in our seats dance.

When we arrived we hopped out of my car and went straight to the food court. We each grabbed a pretzel and a smoothie and went to our favorite shop. “The banger”. Pretty stupid name but I love this store, I thought to myself while we entered. We knew the store owner pretty well. “Hey Clarissa!” I said while we went up to her counter. “Hey girl, what are you guys here for?” We explained what we needed and she told us she has some new stuff that just came in. It took a couple hours to go through and get what we wanted and try every thing on. By the time we got back to my house it was almost dinner time. We went and dropped our stuff off in my room and headed back down for dinner.

When dinner was over we were stuffed! We almost cancelled going out but we decided against it. We did our “getting ready” routine, then headed out.

The club was bumping when we got out of our cab. Robert was waiting for us and opened our door. We were let right in because we were VIP guests. We always were. The night was just starting but a lot of people were already drunk and falling everywhere. A couple people were escorted out before we even sat down in our lounge for the night. As soon as we sat down a scream erupted from the dance floor! Everyone was crowded around something and we went over to figure out what it was. As soon as I stepped foot in the stage I smelled it. BLOOD.
