INICIAR SESIÓNThe hidden passage seemed to have no end. They moved through darkness with only the faint crimson glow from the walls to guide them. No one spoke. Behind them, distant explosions continued to shake the tunnels. The Council had entered Station Zero. But they hadn't followed. Not yet. Sera walked beside Husen. Their hands were still joined. She hadn't let go. Neither had he.,Ahead of them, Mother walked silently. Behind her came Nysera and Verek. Kael followed several steps behind them. Listener remained at the rear. The enormous creature walked last. Every few seconds, its claws brushed against the stone. A reminder that something ancient was moving through the darkness with them.Sera finally broke the silence. "How much farther?"Mother didn't turn. "Not far.""You said that ten minutes ago.""I wasn't measuring time."Sera sighed.Husen glanced at her. "You sound impatient.""I am.""Good."She looked at him. "Why is that good?""It means you're not afraid."Sera frowned. "I can be
The message remained on the screen. SOURCE CONFIRMED.Then, MOTHER LOCATED.And finally, SUBJECT SERA REQUIRED FOR EXTRACTION.Nobody spoke. The words glowed across the old terminal, bathing the chamber in a faint crimson light. Sera stared at them."They knew."Kael slowly approached the screen. "They didn't know."He examined the flickering symbols. "They know now."Verek glanced toward the ceiling. "How long?"Kael checked the machine. "Not long."Nysera's expression darkened. "They'll already be moving."Husen looked toward the broken entrance. "Then we leave."Mother didn't move. "No."Everyone looked at her.Husen frowned. "No?"Mother looked toward the ceiling. "They are not coming here."She paused. "They are coming for her."Her gaze settled on Sera.Sera felt the weight of it. "For me."Mother nodded. "The Council has spent generations searching for Crimson Blood. They believe you are the source."Sera looked at her. "But I'm not.""No." Mother's expression softened. "You ar
The stone beneath them cracked again. A long fracture raced across the flooded floor. Everyone stepped back. Even Listener. The creature stood completely still. Its enormous body was facing the darkness beyond the broken doors. Its head was lowered.Almost reverently. "Mother."The word echoed through Station Zero.Sera stared into the darkness. "Who is she?"Nobody answered. Husen's hand tightened around hers.Nysera looked toward Listener. "You knew."Listener didn't respond.Verek stepped closer. "You knew."Still nothing. Verek grabbed Listener by the shoulder and turned him around."Who is the Mother?"Listener's eyes remained fixed on the darkness. "You don't want to meet her."Verek's expression hardened. "That wasn't my question."Listener finally looked at him. "She is the reason we exist."Silence. Nysera's face lost its color.Husen slowly turned toward her. "You knew too."Nysera looked away. "Not enough.""Then tell us what you know."Nysera's gaze returned to the darknes
The creature stared at Sera. Its pale eyes never blinked. Around them, the chamber had become unnaturally still. The Council soldiers no longer fired. Kael's hand remained against the disabled weapon. Nysera stood several steps away from Husen, her eyes fixed on the creature. Verek kept one hand near Listener's shoulder, ready to restrain him if he moved. And Listener simply watched Sera. For once, there was no smile on his face. The creature slowly moved his hand forward. Water rippled around his arm. Sera didn't move. Husen immediately shifted in front of her. The creature stopped. Its eyes moved at husen. "Move," it said.Husen's expression hardened. "No."The creature looked at him. Something almost resembling recognition appeared in its eyes. Then it looked past him.At Sera."She belongs..." Its voice cracked "...to the blood."Sera's fingers tightened. "What does that mean?"Listener answered. "It means you were never simply carrying Crimson Blood."Sera turned toward him. "The
THUM.The sound rolled through Station Zero. Not like an explosion. Not like an earthquake. It was deeper than either. A heartbeat. A massive heartbeat buried somewhere beneath the stone. Everyone felt it. Sera's eyes widened. Husen's hand remained on her shoulder. Nysera slowly turned toward the enormous sealed doors. Verek loosened his grip around Listener's neck. Even the Council soldiers stood completely still. Then, THUM.The floor moved. Water rippled outward from everyone's feet. Dust fell from the ceiling. A few loose stones dropped into the flooded sections of the chamber.Kael looked down. "What the hell is underneath us?"Listener didn't answer. That was what frightened them. He simply stared at the doors. His expression had changed. No smile. No amusement. No curiosity. For the first time, Listener looked genuinely uncertain.Verek noticed. "You know what that is."Listener remained silent.Verek tightened his grip. "I asked you a question."Listener slowly looked at him.
"Thank you." Husen barely finished the words. Then he moved. So quickly that Sera didn't even have time to turn. His body twisted behind her, one foot sliding across the wet stone. His arm swept forward. A blade of compressed air exploded from his hand.SHRAAAK!The force tore through the chamber. Water erupted from the ground. Loose stones lifted into the air. Dust and fragments of broken rock spiraled upward as an invisible wave of power ripped across the battlefield. Sera's hair was thrown violently backward. For one breathtaking second, she stood completely still in the center of the blast. Her white hair streamed behind her like ribbons caught in a storm. Her coat snapped against her body. Even the crimson glow surrounding her seemed to bend beneath the pressure. Then, BOOM!Listener was struck. His body flew backward. He crashed through a stone pillar and shattered half of it on impact. The remaining structure groaned. A cloud of dust swallowed him. Sera slowly lowered her arm.
