Expect the unexpected

By lunchtime on Friday, Jasper walked into my office, saying he was taking me to lunch. Sadly, he only managed to eat his fries because one of his investors popped up unannounced. 

While finishing up the rest of my food, all I could see was a hand on the table and thinking that it was Jasper, I looked up at the person with a smile, but it immediately faded after seeing that it was Cameron.

I held up a hand to get the waiter's attention, but he stopped me.

''Jordan, wait.''

"Oh, so you do know my name?''

He lets out a sigh.

''I know that I am the last person you want to see right now-''

"You think?'' I said, about to get up.
