Frost's POV

The evening arrived, and we were dressed for dinner. I had come prepared, wearing my best just to make a statement—a lasting impression. I dressed with purpose, taking my time with each piece.

I had on a black coat that fit just perfectly—sharp at the shoulders and draping down to my thighs. Underneath was a white shirt, with a few buttons down just for comfort. My trousers sat clean against my legs, tucked into boots which were polished to a quiet shine.

Staring at the mirror, I l

  • Crowned In Vengeance   Chapter 221: Ashes Of The Lycan

Frost's POV I rushed out of the quarters with Oscar and Rya. The Lycan clan which was an epitome of excellence—a city so radiant and glorious one could regard as heaven—now stood in ruins. I had never seen anything like it before. I watched as bodies dropped on the hard ground like flies, almost as though something was moving through them. Buildings which stood tall in the sky were reduced to rubble. Some others were engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke rising into the sky. I strained my eyes, trying to catch a view of what must have caused this much chaos. There was not another man out there with a different color or flag. The enemy was not in sight. It was as though every warrior of the Lycan clan swung their swords against the wind. Yet, in the midst of my confusion, something spectacular caught my view. I took a step forward to just... feed my curiosity. I watched a guard stand against a shadow. His hands clutched onto a flaming torch in his hands, fuming as he awaited

  • Crowned In Vengeance   Chapter 220: Secrets Beneath The Crown

Rya's POV"I'm intrigued, Rya," Sera said, leaning against the railing of the balcony, staring at the skies. We had been speaking for over one hour. Basically, our conversation circled around the meeting—starting off with the invitation, to the journey, and even to the meeting that occurred. I had shared my most honest opinion about the Lycan clan, how each man was more condescending than the other, how they felt so on top of the world, as though it revolved in the palm of their hands. To my utmost surprise, she never denied a word I spoke. She was incorrigible in integrity, concurring with every fact I had noted and shared with her. And I didn't want the conversation to end. "How were you able to attain a power in such a system where it's reserved for men?" Sera asked me. She spoke the words with this whispering tone, one that almost made it seem as though it lingered in her heart for so long. It felt like a burden she needed to share with someone of liked mind. And turns out, I

  • Crowned In Vengeance   Chapter 219: A Queen Among Hidden Teeth

Rya's POV I had been tossing and turning in my bed ever since I returned from dinner. The taste of the lamb chops still lingered on my tongue. I could still catch the lingering, savory scent of the meals spread across the room. I couldn't deny it. It was a wonderful experience—at least, to an extent. Another thing else lingered in my mind... Alpha Aldric's words. In fact, it was the loud echo of his words, and the flashes of his countenance every time he uttered those words that caused the discomfort.I had my thoughts in line with his sudden invitation. And with the fact that his name didn't strike a chord in my head, and neither did his clan, my doubts grew like a cancer. His intentions were absurd and ludicrous. He took pride in what he must have considered a generous offer, and his mind must have pictured him with the moonstone in his hands. With the way he boasted of the strength his clan possessed, and his request, it was safe to say he had seen something much greater than w

  • Crowned In Vengeance   Chapter 218: Whispers of command, shadow of threats

Frost's POV "Kill him!" My father commanded. His voice wasn't loud in my ears, but it came in in its usual manner—sharp and intense, enough to throw me off balance. I shifted slightly on the chair, trying to steady myself before it showed. I lowered my head slightly. A quiet chuckle slipped from my lips. It was forced, empty, dry, an action made as though I was amused at something spoken over the table, but rather was a ploy to buy myself time to suppress this... feeling. My breathing had changed. The room that was once airy and most comfortable had suddenly turned into the opposite—hot and suffocating. My skin felt oddly wet. My heart raced against my chest and my breathing... my breathing had changed. I fought it, closing my eyes and trying to just... slow it down. Yet it didn't work. "Kill him!" My father commanded. This time, his voice was more than just a pressing thought in my head. I felt that usual warmth that filled the space, the kind that always indicated he was near.

  • Crowned In Vengeance   Chapter 217: The Table of Hidden Blades

Frost's POV The dinner was so impeccable, well planned out. Even before my hands could pick up the cutlery, my eyes were fed to the brim—satisfied—long before my taste buds could detect another taste.Across the well polished black onyx table was a medley of dishes widely spread over it. It was literally a feast meant for royalty. Each plate was filled, overflowing with a variety of food. I could sight juicy lamb chops, smoked salmon and tiger prawns, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes and stuffed mushrooms, freshly baked bread and chocolate mousse—and even more I couldn't recount. The air was thick, filled with the sweet savouring aroma of these dishes. I was almost a confused man at the start... puzzling on which one to choose first. But I won with the right choice of mashed potatoes, gravy sauce and the smoked salmon. The room was intensely quiet as we kept feasting, except the occasional clattering noises of the cutleries striking the plates. I ate in a demure fashion, yet, I w

My trousers sat clean against my legs, tucked into boots which were polished to a quiet shine.Staring at the mirror, I looked steady, and in control, like a man who wouldn't ask for attention, but would gather it from the moment he stepped in. My confidence peaked in the beauty of the dress.Yet, while I didn't need to be loud, Rya thought otherwise. She was dressed in a deep wine-red dress, soft and well fitted, falling just enough to move when she did. Her shoulders were bare, with a little cleavage and her skin catching the light with every slight move. She didn't wear much jewelry, just a little tough at her

Rya's POVDays turned into weeks, and weeks became a month. And still, there was no sign of him. There was not a word sent to the SilverFang pack, not a signal coming from Frost. Was he safe? I didn't know. I just couldn't reach him. I was worried sick about him. I strained my thoughts, and my min

  • Crowned In Vengeance   Chapter 144: The Spy

Frost's POV I headed back to my room where I picked up a few clothes. I shoved them down a little bag which I considered wouldn't be heavy weighted. This was the first time I took on a mission like this. There were men who were more built for such a task. I had no idea of where to start, or where

Rya's POVI was alone in the throne room. The weather was fair, the skies were bright, the morning sun shone its beautiful rays on the landscape, and the winds blew against me softly. I enjoyed this solitude. It was extremely quiet in the room—the perfect place to think. I was reviewing the option
