“Well, I’m glad to hear that. Now, do you want something to drink? I’ll get it ready right now. Do you want to sit down anywhere or should I go upstairs and get the glasses out for you?” she questioned, looking at him.

“You don’t have to worry about me. I’ll be fine by myself,” he said, waving his hand dismissively.

With that said, she got up from the sofa, headed towards the stairs, and headed up.

Max looked around the living room. It seemed as if everything had remained intact throughout the years, although he knew that there were signs of changes ov
