Daciana skidded happily along the hallway of the castle, basket in hand. She was going outside, to pack the laundry, just like she did most times since she began working as a maid.

A smile on her face, she sang at the same time, humming a melodic tone as she recounted her time here in this new kingdom.

As usual, she was not with Ruby every time, but she didn’t care because she had learnt the ropes around here, and she didn’t need her sister’s guidance anymore. Besides Ruby seemed to be highly ranked amongst the servants, and her duties were a lot more different, so they didn’t necessarily cross part every time, only at night when she came back to sleep on the bunk bed they shared. That was all, and Daciana never complained.

Nevertheless she was falling more in love with this place, day by day and even though she was made to do hard chores, and other duties, she knew deeply that she would pick this castle over Aunty Helene’s shack anytime.
