And she was screaming. Screamed. Screamed. Screamed...

What's wrong with me? She thought. Why did it have to be me? No one could answer, so she screamed. She screamed out of grief and so many other things that barely mattered, she just wanted to scream. Again.

She did it like she was a child, when the monsters still lived in her little juvenile mind, tormenting every dream worth remembering. But who was it worth it to? It tormented her so hard that the only thing that stopped them was the embrace of the one who could turn off the lights to comfort, protect. She was screaming for it, he wasn't there anymore.
