RYKER’S POV

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Isabella had just screamed “Yes” when the other Lunas asked if I was going to be her mate. I had specifically told her my ground rules before we came here. She wasn’t supposed to do anything like this.

The group of Alphas and their mates were staring at us awkwardly. I could feel their eyes moving between Isabella and me, waiting to see what I would say next. The silence felt heavy and uncomfortable.

I felt completely humiliated. Here I was, trying to maintain my reputation as a strong Alpha, and Isabella had just made me look like a fool in front of everyone. My face felt hot with embarrassment and anger.

One of the male Alphas cleared his throat and looked at me with a confused expression. “Well, that’s a little rude, don’t you think? Denying your love in public like that?”

“She’s not my love,” I said firmly, trying to keep my voice calm even though I was furious inside. “Isabella is not my mate.”
