My heart clenched at his confession, “I’m seriously your mate? Draco’s too?”

Lips soft and swollen tipped up at the corners. He leaned in, his dark hair falling messily over his forehead. No matter how much I drank him in, it would never be enough to convince me that this man—this God—was my mate.

Pain seized my insides, and I narrowed my eyes. Embers of jealousy, familiar and toxic, flared to life. Accompanying them was a burst of possessiveness that wasn’t entirely my own.
