Rebecca

I yelled, "I don't want any of this." "I simply want to return home."

"Home?" The leader moved in my direction once more. Are you referring to the wolves? You don't belong there; that was never your home.

"I do."

"When they discover who you are, do you think they would still want you?"

Her comments were like a knife cutting through me. "They already do," I murmured, my voice cracking. "They have done so for years."

"Because you've concealed yourself," she retorted. "Because you learned to hide from her."

I detested the fact that she was correct. I detested the ease with which her remarks broke through the barriers of denial I had put up around myself. I was aware that the wolf realm was not where I belonged. An omega with a whore aura and no wolves. I was ridiculed, beaten, and mocked.

However, it was in the past. I didn't have a place to call home before. prior to my discovery of John.

Now all I wanted to do was return to him.

I muttered, "Take me back." "Please."

  • Cursed Luna   Rebecca's pov

RebeccaWhen I woke up, my eyelids ached. I had no idea how long I had been unconscious, but the environment had changed during that time. The circle had vanished, to be replaced by a candlelit stone chamber. All of the witches were gathered around me. The leader moved to the front. She whispered, "Welcome back, child." "Your first lesson is about to begin."I had a dry throat. "Lesson?"Two witches approached with a bowl of a black, foul-smelling liquid in it. "What's that?" With a raspy voice, I asked. One of them said, "Memory ink." "Some parts of your recollection are missing.""Fragments that was kept captive by that bracelet and..." the commander interrupted forcefully. Her following comments seemed too much for her to speak, as seen by the slight pause and unreadable expression on her face."Your wolf." At last, she spoke, her voice brimming with resentment.By that, what did she mean?"Wolf?" My voice was full of incredulity as I spoke. "You don't know what you're talking ab

John We went back to the pack house after the forest hunt. I immediately withdrew into the archives to conduct additional investigation. I had to learn more about the witches. I didn't know as much about them as I would have liked. If they were able to enter our world. I had to locate it. The faint crackling of the torches was the only sound in the ancient archives. The air was heavy with the smell of dust and parchment paper. Hours earlier, I had ordered everyone to bed, but I had no intention of resting. Not with her gone. I pulled another leather-bound scroll across the table and opened it to see what was inside. It contained references to witchcraft. Exactly what I needed. "Are you still awake?" From behind me, I heard Charles's gentle but worried voice. I didn't turn. "I can't afford the luxury of sleep." His boots made a tiny sound on the floor as he took a step closer. At last, Vega is sleeping. Nothing new has been discovered by the scouts. At daybreak, they will beg

Rebecca"Destiny?" With a stronger tone than I intended, I repeated. "You keep saying that as if it should have some significance for me."The leader's face remained expressionless. "Because it ought to."I stepped back nervously. "You've got the incorrect person." I promise that I am not whoever or whatever you believe I am destined to be.The leader's tone was almost pitying as she cocked her head slightly. You reject who you are because you were raised blind by those foolish beasts. because the truth was concealed from you by your mother. My heart faltered. "Why do you constantly bring up my mom?" I forcefully gulped. "Did you know her?"From the right, another witch said, "We did more than know her," in a low, sharp voice. She was among us. Before she betrayed her species out of love, she was one of the Circle's strongest members. The group was filled with a deep, judgmental hum.The commander yelled, "Watch your tongue," without looking back. She never took her eyes from mine. "Y

JohnAfter gathering the scouts, we headed into the forest. Charles accompanied me on the ride, offering consoling words when he could. However, it was ineffective. Seeing her face was the only thing that would be beneficial. If only I had her back. I could then relax.Vega led the way, riding ahead of us. I had told her she could rest, but she had insisted on going with us.A part of me became enraged and blamed her for everything, even though her only responsibility was to keep Rebecca safe. And she made a mess of it. However, the more sensible part of me saw that it wasn't her fault; she was hurt and unable to fight effectively, and she took responsibility rather than offering an explanation. I sent her with Rebecca because I knew she wouldn't endanger Rebecca. However, it was insufficient to make up for the emptiness I felt. I required Rebecca's return. At the base of the woodland, we paused and entered. It was too quiet. Not even the typical sounds of far-off birds were audible.

  • Cursed Luna   Rebecca's pov

RebeccaI could see the darkness everywhere I looked. The cold was the next sensation I experienced. The air burnt like smoke when I attempted to breathe. My body seemed suspended and weightless, as though gravity had not yet determined my place in the universe. Then I suddenly collapsed.I was knocked out of my lungs by the force of the crash. Something solid struck my back; it was smooth as stone but had a slight pulse of warmth. I rolled onto my side, gasping, and clawed at the weird, shimmering ground as I coughed.Where had I been?Everything appeared to be... incorrect. The sky above me was streaked with silver and violet; there was no sun or moon, only a dimly glowing whirling mist. Shapes appeared to move where none existed as the air shimmered like a mirage. With my head hammering, I gently forced myself to stand up. Strange marks engraved onto the stone under me were touched by my palms; they were symbols that gently pulsed as though they were alive. Upon closer inspection,
