I’m sleeping blissfully in my bed when the sunlight hits my face.

“Damn light...”

I look for Nicolette’s body by my side, but in her place, there is no my woman, only a cold mattress. I open my eyes and discover the empty bed. I get off the bed to see if she is in the bathroom, but it’s also empty.

Before I scream in anger, I see a note on her pillow. I rush to get it and see its clear writing.
