ROMAN POV
Uncle Williams and all the unnecessary stress he puts me through and for what?. Just to prove some worthless ideology of his. Every day is another opportunity for him to spur out one worthless proverb or another. I can't believe he pulled me all the way down here to this stupid pack (Maxin pack ) just for a stupid connection. In his words exactly "It's the connections that matter". Connections that we are never going to need. Our stupid meeting took place in the wood. Can you imagine me, alpha Roman, Alpha of Alpha's, having a meeting in the woods with some lousy thugs. How downgrading. We were halfway through our meeting when we heard a woman scream. Of course, uncle stupidity decides to fire his gun. Turns out the lady wasn't too far from us. By the time we get there she is alone, on the ground all bartered. She had 2 stab wounds to the lower abdomen and a gigantic wound on the left side of her head which extends to her left eyelid. One of her electric blue eyes seems to have been over taken by a blood clots. She looks miserable and pitiful but I know only too much about women to have mercy on her, for all we know she must have been the problem after all. " Hold her carefully" Uncle says as he places the injured lady's head on my thighs when we get into the car. " Leave me out of this, Uncle. I don't want to touch her" I inform simply. Uncle Williams knows how I feel about dirt yet he goes ahead and do things like this just to spite me. " Don't be like that son. Can you see I got my hand full with preventing her from bleeding to death" He says as he applies pressure on the lady's injured abdominal with a clear towel. She is completely covered with blood, it's a miracle she is still alive. " Use this to clean the dirt, and excess blood off her face" He says as he offers me a wet tissue " No way. I am not a doctor, just transfer her to one of those other cars" I say disgusted by the blood mess on my lap. " Roman for once in your life, obey my instructions without complaining" He says angrily, which comes as a shock because uncle is never the kind of person to throw a fit. " Fine, but just this time" I grumble before taking the tissue and gently clean her face. I start cleaning, and I just can't help but gasp at how beautiful this woman actually is, despite her ugly hairy ears. She looks so beautiful and innocent inspite of the fact that half of her face is swollen. She has rosy full lips. A cute round face like that of my daughter Claire. I find myself fixating on her face, for no exact reason. True be told she's not my type. I like my women fat in the right places, but she's just a big blurb. I then take out my time to gently clean her facial wound, only for her to stop me, by grabbing hold of my hand. Her hands are rough, sanding and bloody, but for some reason I don't want her to let go, inspite of my clean complex. ' She is beautiful, isn't she?'- Drake, my lycan ask via mind link. You know for someone who has been avoiding speaking to me for a couple of months now, just because I sleep around with other women apart from our mate. He is certainly shameless. What happened to wait for our actual mate. ' Wow, the saint finally spoke and his first words were complimenting another man's mate'- I say mockingly via mind link. ' Why exactly will the moon goddess curse me to share a body with an idiot like you'- He laments bitterly 'She is our mate, idiot' ' No, that's impossible my mate can't be this fat hairy ear freak'- I inform as a wave of shock and horror consumes me. ' You know I speak the truth. I know you feel the pull too'- He says simply. ################ROMAN POVI sit at my desk, staring blankly at the papers in front of me. My mind is elsewhere, still reeling from the events of the previous day. Sia's sudden return and her claims have left me shaken.Just as I'm starting to gather my thoughts, my assistant buzzes in. "Boss Roman, you have a visitor."I look up, expecting it to be a business associate or perhaps a client. But instead, I see Sia standing in the doorway, a look of determination etched on her face."Hi Roman, how is your day going?" Sia questions, walking towards me, her heels clicking on the floor. She then takes a seat opposite mine, crossing one leg over the other."Emma, excuse us," I command calmly, not wanting anyone to witness this uncomfortable encounter. My assistant silently obliges, leaving Sia and me alone."Sia," I say, my voice neutral. "What can I do for you?""Roman, we need to talk," she says, her voice firm.I raise an eyebrow, feeling a sense of unease. "I'm busy, Sia. Whatever it is, can't it wait?"
ROSE POVAs evening falls, I'm still trapped in the events of the day. Sia's return and her claims haunt me like a plague. I sit in front of my luxurious dressing table, staring blankly at my reflection. Roman's voice echoes from behind me, "Rose, sweetheart, I've been calling you."He gently pats my left shoulder as he takes a seat beside me. "Sorry, I was distracted," I lie, grabbing an alcohol swab from its pack. But he sees right through me."Really now?" he says with sarcasm, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "You do know that's an alcohol swab, not a wet napkin, right?" He adds, jolting me back to reality.I feel a flush rise to my cheeks. "Oh, that was an honest mistake. Thank you," I say, returning the swab.Roman's expression turns concerned. "What's really wrong, babe?" he asks, taking my hands in his.I try to brush it off. "Nothing, honey. Let's just go to bed. I'm tired." But Roman's not having it."No, we're not going anywhere until you tell me what's wrong," he insists
SIA POV I storm into my two-bedroom apartment, slamming the door behind me. I'm fuming, my anger boiling over like a pot left unattended on the stove. How dare Roman dismiss me like that? Me, the mother of his only child. How dare he choose that...that...thing over me?I throw my bag onto the couch, pacing back and forth across the room. I'm seething, my mind racing with thoughts of revenge. Roman thinks he can just cast me aside like yesterday's trash? He thinks he can replace me with that fat, disgusting woman?I stop pacing, my eyes narrowing as I think of Rose. She's not even pretty. What could she possibly offer Roman? Why is he so obsessed with her? Does she satisfy him better in bed than I do? For Pete's sake, that woman is barren. Roman's made a big mistake. He thinks he has won, but I'll show him. I'll show him what it means to cross Sia.Just then, I hear the door open behind me. I turn to see Kane walking in, a carefree look on his face. "Hi, beautiful. What's up?" he asks
ROSE POVIt's happening again - the thing I feared most. Someone better than me, with more rights than I, is fighting for the man I love. My heart sinks as I watch Sia sweep Claire into a tight hug, her eyes blazing with a possessiveness that makes my skin crawl. I'm paralyzed with fear, my limbs trembling as I realize that someone better than me, someone with more rights than I do, is fighting for the man I love.Claire looks up at me with a nonplussed expression, confusion and curiosity etched on her face. I can tell she has no idea who Sia really is. Roman's face darkens, his protective instincts on high alert, but before he can intervene, Sia's gaze meets mine. Malice sparks in her eyes, and I feel a chill run down my spine. This is the woman who abandoned her daughter and family for years, and now she's here trying to destroy our happiness. She rises to her feet, her eyes fixed on me with a venomous intensity. She hates me that much is clear."What are you doing here, Sia?" Ro

I whisper, tears welling up inside,Darrick's voice barely audible, "I lost her," he can't hide."Rose, forever," his eyes well up, tears fall like the rain,"I'm sorry," I offer, useless words, but all I can obtain.Darrick shakes his head, resigned, "It's my fault," he confesses true,Self-blame in his voice, a sorrow that we both pursue.I take his hand, comfort offered, "We both made mistakes," I say,Shared guilt and regret, our hearts heavy, lost along the way.Darrick's gaze drifts to Roman and Rose, happy and free,While we're trapped in regret, a pain that's all we see."Let's leave," I suggest, escape this heartache and sorrow,Darrick nods in agreement, we turn and walk away tomorrow.Away from what could've
