TINA POVI head into the house. As I move to take the queen and Scarlett upstairs, I feel his fingers tighten just a little before he lets go and walks over to his friend. I lead Scarlett and the queen into what used to be my parent's bedroom,“Your highness, Scarlett, your mother can shift in the bathroom and have a shower. There is already a towel in there and I’m sure she will be able to find some clothes in the closet to wear.”“Thanks, Tina.”I bow slightly and back out of the room. SCARLETT POVI wasn’t paying much attention to what Noah was saying. I could feel that Phoenix was nearby, and I was looking around for him, but I was doing it as discreetly as I could. SCARLETT POVI let Lilith go and follow Tina inside. We head upstairs and into one of the bedrooms,“Your Highness, Scarlett, your mother can shift in the bathroom and have a shower. SCARLETT POVIt's been a couple of weeks since we returned. I have returned to my training and I keep myself as busy as possible helping where ever I can. Phoenix has been different since I have been back. He watches me constantly or has one of the guards doing it, but he will bearly touch me. He kisses me like he has to like he has no choice. There is no passion in them anymore.I am helping Theodore in the training field with some of the younger females. As I finish the session with them, I look to my left and see Phoenix. I pick up my towel and walk over to him; I flinch a little as he goes to wrap his arms around me, but he continues to pull me into a hard, dominant kiss. I return his kiss with just as much dominance, except mine includes the love I have for him. When he finally pulls back, he smiles like there is nothing wrong.“So, how is my Butterfly today?”“I am great. Father is starting to give me some of my more serious duties back again.”“Are you sure you are up to that?”

TERESA POV“Talking about rest, I think I might get some sleep,” Scarlett says as she lays back on the bed.“Okay, I am going to go and run these tests. I will come to check on you later.”I wait until her breathing evens out, showing that she has indeed fallen asleep. I get up and leave the room. As I head back to the hospital, I go over the different possibilities that could be causing what she is going through. Garlic can do a bit of damage to a vampire but it is not strong enough unless given in really large amounts to cause a vampire to go into hibernation, but then the vampire knows what is going on and it wouldn't affect her wolf.Then there was wolfsbane, but that would affect her wolf more than her vampire. There are only a few things that affect both species. The main one is silver. So for this to be affecting both her wolf and vampire I think someone gave her some silver and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in the blood bags she was given, it would be the only way she woul

SCARLETT POVI wake up, stretch and look around. Phoenix isn’t back from patrol yet, so I decide to go and find Teresa to see if she had an answer for me yet. I leave the room and bump into Teresa and Sebastian, which surprises me as Phoenix was running patrol with him.“Hi, guys! Seb, where is Nix? Wasn’t he doing patrol with you?”“Um... Yeah, we had patrol… But Nix… He um…!”“It's okay Seb, you don’t need to lie for him or say anything. I get it. Um... Teresa, what were my results?”“Well, it has come back that you are pregnant…”“Thank you. I thought I was.. and the other thing?”“It looks like you have been poisoned with silver… Because your wolf and vampire were weak to start with, it has put them into hibernation, but…”“But what? Teresa?”“Scarlett! With the amount of silver that is in your blood, it will make you a permanent human within the week and there is a possibility that it could cause you to have a miscarriage...”“How?? No, that’s okay.
