04~ Delilah, Say Hello To Mr Kimber.

****

Honestly, I didn't mean all I said last night, but it turns out that it was really helpful to me. Mom has decided we'd be spending the weekend at the shopping mall, having a few hangouts together and sight-see to make it up to me.

I can't remember the last time I had such a moment with her, it's almost like years if I may say.

I rushed to the bathroom for a quick shower, quickly dressing on my blue jean rugged trouser with a white half cut shirt which hung above my abdomen.

I rushed out of my room, heading back to the sitting room. Mom moved her gaze at me from head to toe with a smile on my face. "You look great." She complimented.

I blushed. "Thank you."

We headed to where her car parked. I open the door to enter when mom's phone rang. I paused, trying to know who it was that called.

She picked the call, "Hello, Mr Kimber?" She called.

"Hello, Mrs Guzman." I heard him say.

"Good morning, sir."

"Good morning. I hope I ain't disturbing you?"

"No, not at all."

"Are you busy?"

She looked at me. "Uh, not really. I'm actually going on a hangout with my daughter."

"Okay. So, can we meet? I wanna have a word with you."

"Sure. Sure. Where should we meet?" She asked.

"Meet me at 15th Avenue." He replied.

Mom looked at me. "We'll meet you there."

I hopped in, shutting the door after me. Mom entered soon after, starting the engine. "What did he say?" I asked, pretending not to have heard any thing.

"He wants to have a word with me, I guess it's some thing important." She replied.

"Does that mean our hangout is canceled?" I asked.

"No. We're meeting him at 15th Avenue and we're off for the weekend vibes, okay." She winked at me, assuring me that the hangout is still on.

"15th avenue?" I asked. "That's where the shopping mall is."

"Exactly."

We drove to 15th Avenue, stopping at the parking lot of the shopping mall. I wanted to stay back but mom said I should follow her. I don't know why and I didn't ask, I silently followed her out of the shopping mall. We crossed the road, standing by the walkway as we waited for Mr Kimber to show up.

We waited for about ten minutes or so before he finally showed up. Mom's phone rang, she quickly picked the call. "We're at the…" she paused. "Okay."

"He's here." She said, pointing at the Lexus RX that just passed us.

Oh. My. Gosh! I gasped. This man is damn interesting.

Mom went to meet him while I stayed back. Just then Abby phoned me. "Hey, babe!" She yelled from the other side of the call.

"Sup."

"I'm cool. Coming over tonight?" She asked.

"Nah, I've got to attend girl's night. I already promised I'll show up tonight."

"Okay. Maybe we can hang out on Sunday, what do you think?"

"Sunday night is cool." I said.

"Until then. Bye."

"Bye." She hung up the call.

I was staring at Mr Kimber once again, he appears to be more handsome than the previous night. The only slight difference is that he looks very much serious unlike last night he's been doing nothing but smiling at me.

I was wondering what's so special about the discussion that warrants such an urgent call. A word was becoming an hour conversation. I came to realize that I couldn't figure out what they were actually talking about since it has nothing to do with me.

"This is my daughter, Delilah." I noticed she was going to look at me, I quickly flew my gaze to the other direction. "Delilah!"

I sluggishly look in their direction. "Come say hello to Mr Kimber." She said,

"Hello." I waved my hand at him.

"Delilah?" She said in clenched teeth, signaling me with her eyes to come over.

I stood close to mom, "Hello, Mr Kimber." He was giving me those looks that seemed more like he's studying me or some thing.

"Hello, Miss Guzman." He waved a smile at me. The smile faded immediately, as he slightly raised an eyebrow at me. "Have we met before?" He asked.

Mom threw a questioning look at me. "I don't think so. I haven't seen your face before." I said confidently, in a convincing tone. I noticed mom relaxed at my response. "Well, it's nice meeting you, Mr Kimber." I forced a smile, turning my gaze to mom. "I'll meet in the mall." I excused myself.

"I'm sorry for her attitude, she's not used to strangers." She backed me up.

"I see."

I felt his gaze on me as I crossed the road to the shopping mall. And the rest of the conversation remains some thing unknown to me.

I was leaning against the car, busy with my phone as mom approached in my direction. She was wearing a suspicious smile on her face. "So tell me, have you met with Mr Kimber before?"

I was surprised at her question, why would she be asking me that? Why would she think I'd meet him for any reason?

"I already said it mom, I haven't seen him other than his name."

"I noticed the way he was staring at you…"

"Mom, not now." I said, cutting her sharply.

I don't want to believe he recognizes me or else I am dead for good. My whole life, my career will all be doomed forever.

We started eating on our served meal, silently without talking to each other. I noticed mom has been smiling at me since we started eating. I won't ask why, it's probably because of Mr Kimber.

"You know, I was wondering if it would be possible after your college, I can get you signed in as a staff in Mr Kimber's company. Since I'm so close to him and his personal assistant, I'm pretty sure he'll approve your application."

"Mom, you're joking, aren't you?" I asked, dropping my spoon halfway to my mouth.

"I'm not. Mr Kimber is a good man and he pays well, you're a witness to it."

"Mom, I don't fu*king care whether he pays or not, I'm not applying for a job in his company." I sternly said, sounding mean and serious.

"But why?" She asked, looking surprised at my reply.

"I don't know, I just don't want to work for him. Can we change the topic now?"

We spent the rest of the day sharing the mother and daughter vibes. We hung out together, took some crazy photos, and had a few sight-see around the street.

The evening came, it was time to go home. I checked on my time, I've got barely thirty minutes before the club begins and I have to show up on time or else Mrs Mills will spank on me.

We got home, ten minutes later. I was seriously running out of time.

I had to fake a call, pretending like I was talking to my boss. Mom looked worried at the way I sounded, she would look at me then at the steering and she kept doing that until I had ended the fake call.

"I have to go, mom, boss is really angry with me."

"Why?"

"It's a long story, I'll tell you when I get back." I rushed to my room, pressing my stripper clothes into my small bag, as I hurriedly made it back to the sitting room. "See you later." I kissed her cheek.

"Be careful!"

"I will!"

As soon as I got to the clubhouse, I changed to my outfit, putting on an expensive makeup with my mask to hide my identity. I got to the stage… doing the usual, I directed my gaze to the same spot I first met Mr Kimber the previous night.

And guess what, he is sitting right on that same spot, staring at me. And when I say me, I meant directly at me.

I swayed my hips from side to side, but swayed it in the hottest way that a woman could. And then I turned to the front, in a split second, my eyes met his, eliciting a sudden warmth in every part of my body, especially in the place I didn't know how to explain.

I felt on fire with an overwhelming desire for a man whose looks was so fu*king good. His eyes were still on mine, and they weren't making any sign of leaving.

I walked down the stage, majestically walking to his direction. His gaze followed my actions as I approached him. I didn't mind the eyes staring at me, I was after him and him alone.

I stood before him, crossing my leg over his, sitting on his thighs. I moved the tip of my fingers on his cheek, placing my first finger on his lips.

"Don't you wanna make out with me tonight?" I whispered seductively in his ear.

He smirked devilishly, trapping his lower lips between his white teeth. Son. Of. A. Bitch!

I stood up, holding his hand as I pulled him after me to an empty room. I shut the door after me, bolting it.

"So…" I didn't let him say a word, I shushed him with a kiss. I was scared he'd push me away, or mute the kiss without responding. To my greatest surprise, he kissed me back, hungrily devouring my lips in his like he's been waiting for this moment to come a long time ago.

I didn't take the kiss too far, I pulled away. "Why have you been staring at me?" I asked.

Hold on, does he actually think I was gonna let him have his way in between my legs on our second day?

"People say you're the best dancer here." He said, seeming a bit reluctant at my seriousness.

I folded my arms around my chest. "Am I supposed to believe that?"

"It's not like you have a choice. I heard you're a new worker, and the best too."

"Are you going to ask about my bio?" I snapped.

"I only do that to people I find interesting." I rolled my eyes at him. "So yes, I find you quite interesting." He goes to sit on the couch which stood beside the bed. "You didn't bring me here to make out with you, did you?"

"Well, I figured out men like you are very much good at one night stands, but I ain't interested in that shit. I brought you here to know why you've been staring at me."

"So, have I answered your question?"

"Not convincing."

"Honestly, you're really good at what you do." He repeated, this time, he was sounding real and true.
