Camilla’s eyes fluttered open. She groaned softly as she moved and her body ached.

A groan escaped her lips as she sat up on the bed, taking in the sight of her unfamiliar surroundings.

She cleaned her eyes, knowing they were already in Paris for their honeymoon. Vincenzo had that thing of not waking her up whenever they were in a new country.

What shocked her the most was how he carried her onto the plane without waking her.

She climbed down from the bed. Surprisingly, a flip-flop was placed by the side of the bed, probably for her.

She slipped them on. She gazed around the beautiful, majestic room, looking for the bathroom. Her gaze landed on the glass-door bathroom, and she walked toward it, hoping to see Vincenzo in there. But when she entered, she couldn’t find him.

She sighed and walked to the sink. Maybe he was attending to something.

Camilla turned on the tap, washing her arms with soap. She took one of the brushes she saw on top of the sink—the unused
