“Let's go,” I said to the guards that stood around the entrance of the hotel.

They all scattered around, getting into the various cars that made up the convoy that had come for me. One of the guards stood at the door of mine, holding it open until I got in.

    Alexander's POV “Uggggghhhh!” I groaned, stretching myself until my shoulders popped. The yawn that followed nearly unhinged my jaw. It was heavy, deep and very relaxing. It was Monday morning. A kind of day that dragged its feet and smelled like leftover rain. The most stressful day of the week that came with lots of papers to sign and deals to close. But I wasn't doing any of that today. The thought of last night still sat warm in my chest. I couldn't help it, I just stayed smiling at the ceiling like an idiot.I’d had the best time with Elena, and the twins too of course “God, the twins! My twins!”Elena was still tightened up and guarded as usual, arms crossed even when she laughed or smiled. It was like she was rationing out pieces of herself, but somehow, that didn’t ruin it.
