CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR- FALSE INFORMATION.

Just as Sarah was about to speak a staff passed, she ended the call without saying a word.

She went back to the office.

“Miss sartini I'm sorry I came late, the queue–”

Vu ever you go to the restroom that's when the queue will be much?”

“No miss, I was–”

"Don't say a word, just go back to your work”

“Ok miss"

It was time for closing, faith was already arranging her things. But Sarah's head was still buried on the file in front of her.

“Aren't you ready to go home?" faith asked.

“I will, when I'm done, tomorrow I will be visiting my parents in the hospital so I won't come early so I need to finish today”

Faith nodded “my regards to them”

Sarah smiled “she is too good to me” she thought.

She waited for the office to become empty, so she brought out her phone again.

“Why did you hang up?”

“A staff was about to pass, so I don't want to get caught”

“What's the way forward now”

“Let meet in the same place tonight”

“Okay”

Sarah stared at her phone, her hands were trembling slightly, she thought about her parents, she teared up.

Her dad's medical bills, her mom in the hospital bed fighting for her life.

She remembered the first time she met Marcus, she thought it was just to work for faith, but after she agreed she was used as a bait to feed Marcus with information.

And the first time she saw faith, she was kind no matter what she do or does faith never scold or traerhen her with her parents like and she love faith for who she is, she us just tired of everything.

She whip her tear, picked up her back and walk out of the office without looking back but faith camera watched her leave.

The restaurant was small and quiet.

Marcus arrived first, like he always does.

Faith investigator sat at a corner, he put on his phone on a call.

Marcus ordered for a drink.

Just immediately Sarah entered.

She sat down across him.

“Your eye look puffy, what's wrong with you?”

“That's none of your business”

“Hm, you said you have something”

“Yes”

“And what is it about?”

“Have you heard of the shell company?”

“Of course, who doesn't know, it the company every companies want to collaborate with but it's hard to get it, what about it?”

“Faith is collaborating with them”

“You don't mean it, how did she do it”

“Do I look like I'm joking or what, I heard everything”

“Tell me all you know?”

“Faith will be ingesting five hundred million, and the profit wiill be beyond what she expect”

“Okay”

“but she is still doubting them, she wants yto board to approve first and they have her a deadline which is a day after tomorrow”

“What if she doesn't make it before then?”

“Then it's will be given to someone else, so what you have to do now is to let the board see your worth and then…”

Marcus smiled.

“I will get back to you, I have three hundred now I just need two hundred and it will all be mine”

“Finally I can be able to crush her under my feet.

Sarah smiled.

“ here, I saw this in her drawer it includes everything we will need”

“That's more like you, continue to do your job well and your parents will be safe and sound”

He raised his glass and sip from it.

Sarah hands were still trembling.

Marcus did not know he was digging his own grave with his own bare hands.

He was already calculating the money he had not seen.

He was imagining the way faith face will look like by then.

He had no idea that's was a trap,he still had no idea that all everything he had just said was recorded.

The investigor stood up and he dust his jacket and walked out.

He arrived at faith office, very early that morning.

He took a newspaper opened it and started reading it not like there was something special about it but he was reading it.

His phone buzzed.

“Anything special about today"

“Miss,I will send it to you system,as soon as you arrive you will listen, I'm currently in the office and I will go back before the other staff will arrive".

Faith buzzed, she saw his text and smiled.

Marcus is really something else,and he thinks he is winning not knowing he is killing himself gradually.

She arrived at her office ,sat at her desk and opened the file.

The second file is Missing and she knows Sarah took it.

She smirked before opening her system and played the recording.

Marcus' voice fills the quiet office,how he wants out smart faith .

Faith listens to everything without moving.

“I can finally crush her "

Faith smiled “he is celebrating too early"

When it ended, she leaned back to her chair, waited for a few minutes then saved it.

She copied it into two pieces and sent one to Warren and kept the other for herself.

She opened her other systems that include the corridor call from Sarah,she saved it and sent it also.

Her door swing opened.

Sarah walked in.

“Good morning miss"

“I thought you were visiting your parents today,why are you here?"

Sarah smiled in between her tears “how could she tell her that Marcus did not allow her to see her parents" she thought.

“Why are your eyes so red and puffy?"

“Nothing miss"

“Hope your parents are fine"

She didn't see them. How would she know if they are fine or not?

“They are fine," she lied.

Warren's text came in that minute.

" I receive the file”

" Good”

" Faith this is enough to destroy him you know”

" Almost”

"Why how, this is everything we need”

" Warren”

" Yes your royal highness”

" Let him get comfortable”

"But do you know wasting time might lead to something unexpected”

" I'm not afraid I will face them all, don't worry”

Faith looked at her screen.

At everything Marcus had given to her without him knowing.

Every recording, all this moves all his smiles.

" He will not expect what's coming for him”
