LOGINVesper POV
I don’t get it. Ghost walks around like being the Reaper of this club gives him the right to do whatever the hell he wants. Like his title somehow trumps mine. Like dragging bodies into ditches and handling club messes makes him more important than the years I’ve spent killing ghosts no one even knew existed. His rank here doesn’t outrank what I do. It doesn’t give him permission to take over my contracts.
Siren POVThe fourth cracks lower, catching the sensitive curve where ass meets thigh, and I moan despite myself, the pain twisting into something darker. The fifth is brutal, centered and heavy, making my knees buckle for a second before I lock them again. The sixth and final strike is the hardest yet, a punishing blow that leaves my ass throbbing, skin hot and marked, breath coming in ragged pants. He stands there, breathing heavy, staring at my reddened skin. A low groan rumbles from his chest, raw and hungry.“You can fuck me, Echo,” I whisper, voice trembling with need. “I got the all clear yesterday.”The paddle falls to the floor, and I stay bent over the bed, palms pressed into the mattress, breath coming in sharp pants as the sting settles into something hotter and darker. My skin feels alive
Siren’s POVTen months laterI watch Echo walking around the bar with the baby strapped to his chest. He seems so completely in his element now, and honestly I was worried about how he would handle being a dad, but he's doing amazing.Sure, I'm ready for the day he starts smothering her the way he did me, but he's trying to change, even if it is only in small amounts at a time. He smiles down at her, whispering something soft as he moves back and forth. He's figured this out. One month in and he already has everything sorted. He works around her schedule. He's not passing her back to me the second church starts.“You’re staring,” Red says and I laugh.“How can I not? The guy who stalked me, kidnapped me, and chased me through the woods looks so fu
Echo POVA hand grabs me and drags me upright. “Fucking hell, Echo,” Ghost mutters, shaking his head. “Are you serious? You didn’t even fight back this time.”“She could have lost the baby,” I say, voice rough and low. “Do you not understand that?”“But she’s to blame as well,” he answers. “You both are. Stop carrying all the fucking guilt. She owns half of it, if not more, because she lied and acted like she wasn’t pregnant.”I shrug off his hand and walk out, heading straight for my bike. I climb on and start it, the engine roaring to life beneath me. The guys follow, but I don’t wait.I ride back alone, wind cutting through the blood on my face, pain throbbing with every heartbeat. When I get to the club I ignore everyone stari
Echo’s POVShe lied to me, and it’s not the lie itself that’s tearing me apart. It’s the consequences of it, the endless replay of what could have happened if I’d hurt her more, if I’d caused real damage to her or the baby. Maybe it wasn’t intentional or planned, it was just part of what we did, but now I’m left wondering how much harm I actually caused. The glass empties again, and I pour another shot. Knox sits down beside me and looks at me with that knowing expression.“You can’t be mad at her for your choices.”I laugh, the sound bitter. “I’m not mad at her.”He stares for a moment. “Really, because you look like you want to hurt someone.”“Yes, me!” I snap.“Echo, what
Siren POVYeah, exactly. “I didn’t think at the time because I was convinced it wasn’t him. I did make sure to stop him choking me instantly.”She nods. “Siren, tell him. The longer you don’t, the worse he’s going to be when he finds out.”“He’s going to hate me,” I whisper.“No, he’ll hate himself,” she corrects gently. “Big difference. See, Nathan would be mad at me, I wouldn’t say hate me, but he’d hate that I didn’t tell him. Theo is more on the side of replaying what could have happened and hating himself. Which is exactly how Echo is.”“I should have told him right away,” I admit, voice small. “Stopped him and made him aware.”&ldquo
Siren’s POVI stand staring at Echo as he walks ahead of me, completely naked, covered in blood and mud, and yet he moves like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Of course it is. It’s Echo. Nothing ever fazes him.As we near the building, one of the officers hands him a dressing gown. He slips it on, shaking his head with a low chuckle that makes me smile despite everything.Nathan points to a side room and they guide Echo inside. I’m pulled into another.I sit down and look at the female officer across from me. She sighs before taking her own seat.“Look, before you arrest him, it was consensual,” I say, unable to hold it in. “All of it.”“We need confirmation of that.” She slides some papers across the table.
Ghost POVI set the rhythm first with nothing but my voice. I tell her when to breathe. I tell her when to hold. I tell her when I want her to look at me and when I want her eyes closed so she can feel everything with no defenses left. I don’t push for depth at the sta
Vesper POVThe smirk still curves my lips, but it’s a dare now, not a tease. I know what I’ve just done to him. I watched it unravel him, felt it in the way he lost control, the way his hips jolted and his hands cle

Vesper POVHis fingers slide back inside me, slow this time, curling just right. His other hand slides up my stomach, under my torn shirt, palm flat against my ribs like he’s trying to feel my pulse from the inside.I moan. I hate that I moan.
