Chapter 112: Coming Home
DAMON
Three hours later, it was over. Vincent was dead, obviously, after I had asked Carlo to take care of him. I could hear his screams echoing while we left, and I didn’t want to kill him myself because Annabel was there. His men? They were either dead or scattered, and the mansion was silent except for the sound of sirens in the distance.
I found Annabel in the kitchen, being checked over by a paramedic that Carlo had called. She looked up when I walked in, and despite everything—the blood on my clothes, the exhaustion in my eyes—she smiled.
"Hey, stranger."
"Hey yourself, Cupcake."
I sat down beside her, careful not to touch her until I knew she was okay.
"How are you feeling?"
"Like I got hit by a truck. But I'm alive. We're alive."
She placed her hand on her belly, and I felt something inside me finally settle.
"The baby?"
"Is fine. Strong heartbeat, the paramedic says."
<Chapter 113: DandanaANNABELThe car stopped and I turned to stare at Damon, wondering where the hell we were and what we were doing here."I want you to meet someone and then we have somewhere to be where your mom and brother are waiting for you."He said and I nodded, as we walked out from the car, four men following after us as we walked into the large building. The building was beautiful I'd say but my mind was settled on one thing. We stood in front of a door and the door to the room opened, Damon held my hands and then he turned to face me."You are free to act however you want to act."He said and I gazed at him, wondering what he meant but my gaze didn't last long as we walked into the room.My heart froze upon seeing the woman standing in front of me."Christiana!"

Chapter 111: The Devil's ReckoningVINCENTThe sound of Damon's voice made my blood run cold. Impossible. He was supposed to be dead. Janet had assured me she'd killed him."Sir, he's in the building. What do you want us to do?"One of my men asked, panic clear in his voice."Kill him. Kill him now!"I screamed, but even as I said it, I knew it was too late. Damon Black was a force of nature when he was angry, and from the sound of his voice, he was beyond angry.I had come here to hide and hearing about my two brothers death was a good getaway to deal with whoever killed them.I wanted to use her for fun while I while away time and get these people away from my neck. But having Damon Black, in my radar, on my doorsteps, who was supposed to be dead, who this bitch lying down dead was meant to kill
Chapter 110: Face to FaceANNABELA scream erupted from my lips as I broke into sobs. My body came crashing on the floor where she lay down, my eyes already tearing up, blinding my surroundings."Catherine!" I shook her."Catherine!" I screamed again, not caring at this point if she shoots me.Suddenly, I heard something tug at my shirt, and when I looked down, it was Catherine's hand.My body was covering her face, so no one could see her face. Her eyes were open, staring at me like she hadn't been shot, and a little smile uncovered from her face."Hmm, never knew you would take a liking to me so fast."She said, smiling so deadly like..."Gosh, you just got shot."I whispered, my voice breaking."Yes, I did quite alright, but I'm in a bullet vest, and I need to put yo
Chapter 109: The RescueANNABELI woke up with a splitting headache and the taste of blood in my mouth. The room was darker now, and I could hear voices coming from outside. My face throbbed where Vincent had hit me, and I could feel dried blood on my lip.How long had I been unconscious?I tried to sit up, but the world spun around me. Easy, Annabel. Think. You need to think. The door opened, and Catherine walked in with another tray of food. She looked nervous, her hands shaking as she set it down."You need to eat something. You've been out for hours."Her voice was barely above a whisper, and she kept glancing at the door like she was afraid someone would hear her."Where is he?"I asked, my voice hoarse."Mr. Vincent? He's... he's making calls. Planning something."
Chapter 108: The Hunt BeginsDAMONThe cold air hit my face as we stepped out of the hospital, and I could feel the rage pumping through my veins like liquid fire. Every step I took sent sharp pains through my ribs, but I didn't give a damn. Pain was nothing compared to what I was feeling inside—the thought of Vincent's hands on my Cupcake, on our baby."Boss, you sure you're ready for this? You just woke up and...""Carlo, I swear to God, if you ask me one more time if I'm ready, I'll put a bullet in your leg myself."I snapped, getting into the passenger seat of the black SUV. My hands were shaking, not from weakness, but from pure fury.Carlo nodded and started the engine. The tracker on his phone showed Vincent's location hadn't moved in the past hour—a mansion on the outskirts of the city. Good. The bastard was getting comfortable, prob
