Mia's POV

“I am so happy for Ava,” I said, lying on my bed in my room, lost in thoughts. “She found such a perfect mate; someone she loves and someone that loves her too.”

I let out a deep sigh, turning in my bed. “William would never break Ava's trust. He would never do what Thomas did to me.”

I fought back tears because I did not want to cry for Thomas anymore. I let out a shaky breath. “I wish I could end up happy like Ava. I really thought I wanted a chase but it turns out, I want someone to stay with me. Seeing William and Ava's happy faces and hearing their laughter during their wedding made me realize that.”

“Mia,” my father said, knocking and entering into my room.

“Mia, are you still crying?” he asked, his voice sounding feeling a bit worried and I wiped my tears away.

“No,” I said, my voice was barely above a whisper.
