Later that evening

With the brief encounter I had with my son, I knew I had all the more reason to talk things out with Lyron.

“ Sir, so what do you plan to do now?” Joe asked me.

“ Lyron must have gotten off work by now and Zara must have told him everything,” I didn't care to answer Joe's question. “ Do you think he'd run away from me now that I know that he had my child?” I smiled wearily, afraid that Lyron might actually escape my grasp again.

“ I can't say for sure if he'd do that, after all, he can't breach the contract,” Joe did his best to make me feel better.

“ I hope so,” I muttered. I just wanted him to listen to me and give me a chance to explain things but even I knew that I might be asking for too much.
