Jessy

The phone kept buzzing against my thigh like an angry insect.

Unknown number.

Again and again and again.

Mark’s eyes flicked down to it, then back to my face. Calm. Cold. Terrifying.

“Turn it off.”

His voice wasn’t loud. It didn’t need to be.

My fingers moved before my brain caught up. I pressed the power button until the screen went black. The sudden silence felt louder than the ringing ever had.

“Good girl,” he murmured, and the praise slid down my spine like warm honey and broken glass at the same time.

He stepped closer. One more step and the tips of his shoes touched mine. I could feel the heat rolling off him, smell the leather of his jacket, the faint trace of the whiskey he’d poured but never drank.

He was a perfect contradiction: the scent of expensive tailoring overlaid with the raw, animal musk of sheer intent.

His hand lifted, slow enough that I could have moved away.

I didn’t.

He brushed the backs of his knuckles along my jaw, feather-light, then curled his fingers

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 92:Consequences and Calculations

Jessy's POVThe hot water cascaded over my skin, washing away the physical evidence of what had just happened but doing nothing for the confusion swirling in my mind.Mark stood behind me in the massive shower, his hands surprisingly gentle as he washed my hair—an intimate gesture that felt more dangerous than anything that had happened on the couch. This was the Mark no one else saw. The one who could be tender. Careful.*Almost human.*"You're thinking too loud," he murmured, his fingers massaging my scalp."Just processing.""The meeting? Or after?"*Both. Neither. Everything.*"Antonio," I said, choosing the safer topic. "He's not going to let this go, is he?"Mark's hands stilled for a moment. "No. He made his play tonight. Now I have to respond.""What does that mean?""It means war." His voice was matter-of-fact, like he was discussing the weather. "Antonio challenged me publicly. Threatened what's mine. If I don't retaliate decisively, I look weak. And weakness in this world i

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 91:Craving for ourselves

JessyThe car ride back was suffocating.Mark hadn't said a word since we left the restaurant. He sat beside me in the back of the SUV, his hand still gripping mine, his jaw clenched so tight I could see the muscle jumping beneath his skin.Vincent drove in silence, his eyes flicking to the rearview mirror every few seconds, checking on Mark with the wariness of someone who'd seen this storm before. The tension radiating off Mark was palpable. Dangerous. He's going to explode, I thought distantly. The question is when.We pulled up to the penthouse, and Mark was out of the car before Vincent had fully stopped, pulling me with him. His grip on my hand was bruising, possessive, barely controlled."Mark—""Not now."He dragged me into the building, past security, into the private elevator. The moment the doors closed, he slammed his hand against the emergency stop button. The elevator lurched to a halt.Silence.Mark turned to face me, and the look in his eyes made my breath catch. Not a

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 90:The dinner

Jessy's POVThe restaurant was the kind of place where silence cost more than noise.Everything whispered wealth—from the marble floors to the crystal chandeliers, from the leather booths to the waiters who moved like shadows. Private. Exclusive. The kind of establishment where deals were made and lives were ended over plates of food most people couldn't pronounce.Mark's hand remained locked around mine as we walked through the entrance, his grip just tight enough to remind me who I belonged to. Vincent walked ahead, scanning the room with the practiced eye of someone who'd survived by noticing details others missed.I felt every eye in the room turn toward us.Not just looking. *Assessing.*Calculating Mark's worth based on the woman on his arm, the suit on his back, the confidence in his stride. This was theater. Performance. A carefully choreographed display of power. And I was the prettiest prop he owned."They're in the back," Vincent murmured, gesturing toward a private dining

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 89:Mark's obsession

Jessy's POV Morning arrived with the cruelty of routine. I woke to find Mark already dressed, standing at the window with his phone pressed to his ear. His voice was low, clipped—the tone he used when things weren't going according to plan. He didn't acknowledge me, didn't even glance over as I slipped out of bed and padded to the bathroom. The message was clear: I was still being punished. Good. Let him think it was working. I showered slowly, methodically, taking my time with every ritual. Washing my hair. Conditioning. Shaving. Each movement deliberate, controlled. The kind of calm that came from finally understanding the game being played. When I emerged wrapped in a towel, Mark was gone. The guards outside the door remained stone-faced when I passed them. No greeting. No acknowledgment. Just that infuriating professional distance that said *we don't see you*. Fine. I didn't need to be seen. I dressed in a soft gray cashmere sweater and dark jeans—expensive but understat

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 88:The quiet punishment

Jessy's POVThe silence woke me before my eyes even opened.Something was wrong. Not dangerous-wrong, but different...wrong. The kind of wrong that made my skin prickle with awareness even as I lay perfectly still in the massive bed.I stared at the ceiling, my heart already beating faster than it should.Mark wasn't here. That shouldn't have mattered. He often left early for meetings, disappeared into his office for hours, conducted business I wasn't supposed to understand. But this felt deliberate. Calculated. This felt like punishment...My stomach twisted as I sat up slowly, the silk sheets pooling around my waist. The penthouse was too quiet. Even the usual sounds—his voice on the phone in the next room, the low murmur of guards outside the door, the subtle presence that always reminded me I wasn't alone—were absent.I was being ignored. And somehow, that was worse than anything else he could have done.I dressed carefully, choosing a soft cream sweater and dark pants. Nothing to

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 87:The quiet punishment

Mark’s initial anxiety had been soothed by Jessy’s immediate, faultless compliance to the new rules. The resulting state was not one of affection or even calm, but a strange, heavy neutrality. The physical control was established; now came the psychological dominance.Mark began to withdraw. The withdrawal was not a banishment—it was a subtraction. The rules remained, but the context changed. He was present in the penthouse less, his work demanding increasingly long hours away. When he was home, the customary evening ritual—the shared glass of wine, the conversation that was always about him, the brief, intense physical closeness—ceased. The first night, Jessy prepared for bed and waited. The expensive sheets felt cold against her skin. An hour passed, then two. Eventually, she heard the distant, muffled sound of his door closing on the opposite end of the hall. He had returned, but he had not sought her out.The second night was the same. The third, she did not wait. She knew.Mark
