81 - The Reunion

It was eight in the morning on the first day in January. We had done all we needed to do for the resort but we'd be back in a few days to check in on activities again.

Alfred was currently checking out of the hotel while I had volunteered to take our bags into the car.

I crossed my arms as I leaned on his car. My phone suddenly rang and I pulled it out of my pocket. I picked it up once I saw it was Hannah calling.

"Hey. Have you been ignoring my calls and texts on purpose?" I asked immediately I answered the call.

She chuckled. "Calm down Skylar. Is that how you greet your best friend a Happy New Year?"

I rolled my eyes, trying to suppress the smile that threatened to appear on my face.

"I was worried sick about you"

I was. She could be an ass sometimes but we've come a long way together and not being able to reach her for a whole day, naturally had me worried.

"Oh look you still have emotions"

I laughed. "It never left"

She paused for a while and I was about to come clean
