LOGINHappy Easter to you and yours! Thank you for reading another chapter. I'm excited to share the next part of the story with you soon. Until then, I hope you have a great day!
The morning sun streamed through the windows of Max Anderson’s house, its bright rays landing directly on his face. Slowly, he opened his eyes. Blinking against the light, he looked down at his chest and realized he was bare.Confused, he tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness hit him. He pressed a hand to his head and slowly lay back down. Then, turning to his side, his eyes widened.Lena was there on the bed sleeping beside him with the blanket pulled up to her shoulders.Shock rushed through him. His heart pounded as adrenaline surged. He shot up from the bed, breathing quick and uneven as his eyes fixed on her still figure.Frowning, Max pressed his fingers against his forehead, trying to steady his thoughts. What happened? he asked himself. Was this real or was he imagining it?In a state of confusion and shock, Max paced in front of the bed, breathing heavily. His hands ran over his face, gripping it tightly as he tried to remember, something and anything but nothing came. His
Coming out of her room, still shaken by what she had just discovered, Lena froze when she saw Max hurrying out of his home office toward the door. Quickly, she darted to the side so he wouldn’t notice her.As she descended the stairs in a rush, Mrs Sophia came out from the kitchen. Seeing how Lena moved as if being chased….she called out, “Mrs Lena! Mrs Lena!”Lena halted abruptly, breaking her steps as if she’d been caught doing something wrong. She turned quickly toward Mom Sophia.“Mrs Lena,” Mrs Sophia repeated, hurrying to meet her at the door. “Is anything the matter?” she asked, her eyes scanning Lena from head to toe, noticing her trembling hands and pale face.Lena let out a slight chuckle, avoiding Mrs Sophia’s gaze that seemed to pierce right through her. Mrs Sophia, however, didn’t look away. Her eyes studied Lena’s face closely, and her hands lifted as if to touch her cheeks.“You look pale,” she said softly. “Are you having a fever?”Before Lina could answer, Mrs Sophia
A few days after the funeral, Max and Lena stepped out of their car in front of the Anderson Company, ready to finalize a joint family business deal. Before they could reach the entrance, Naomi appeared out of nowhere. Her eyes blazed with grief and rage as she rushed forward and shoved Max so hard that he stumbled back.Lena quickly stepped in front of him and shoved Naomi in return, knocking her to the ground.“Are you out of your mind?” Lena hissed, glaring down at her.“Yes, I am!” Naomi spat as she scrambled to her feet. Her breathing was ragged, her whole body trembling. “And I’m losing every single piece of myself because of you two!”She brushed the dirt from her dress, her face twisted with fury. “You evil people. You’re responsible for her death! You put her through so much pain… she couldn’t take it anymore. That’s why she ended her life!”Her chest heaved, her hand shaking as she pointed at them both. “I swear, on everything I have left, I’m going to make you pay.”Lena st
Dr. Sam walked out of the ICU, removing his gloves slowly. Mr. Creed stood up the second he saw him, eyes heavy with worry. “Doc… how is she?” he asked, his voice almost a whisper. Dr. Sam sighed and nodded for him to follow. They stepped into a quiet hallway. “She’s stable for now,” he said, “but the swelling in her brain is not going down like we hoped.” Creed clenched his jaw, waiting. “She needs surgery,” Dr. Sam added. “A very delicate one. We don’t have the right setup here, but there’s a specialist hospital in Italy I’ve worked with before. They can do it.” Creed’s eyes widened slightly. “Italy?” “Yes,” Dr. Sam nodded. “And we need to move fast. If we delay… we might lose her.” Creed looked down, breathing hard. After a moment, he looked up with fire in his eyes. “Get the jet ready. Do whatever you need. I’ll cover everything.” Dr. Sam placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “I’ll make the call.” ............................ The knock on the door was s
"Sir… it’s been two days already," the officer said softly. Max didn’t look at him. His eyes stayed on the water as the cold wind brushed his face. "I’m sorry to say this, but..." The officer paused, lowering her voice. "She… she might not have made it." The words hung in the air like a heavy fog. Max still didn’t blink. His jaw tightened. "We may have to bring this to an end soon…" he added carefully, watching him. Max slowly turned to face him. His eyes were red but dry. "No," he said "We don’t stop until we find her". ….……… Mr. Creed burst into the room and came to an abrupt halt. There she was. Kristen lay on the hospital bed, barely moving. Her head was wrapped in thick bandages. Wires and tubes were connected to her. Machines beeped softly beside her, keeping track of every breath. His heart dropped and his eyes grew wide with shock. She looked nothing like the strong, fire-eyed girl he knew. “Oh no…” he whispered, taking slow steps closer. The sight of her like th
"Yes, the divers have gone to the base of the fall," one officer said into his radio as he stood near the edge of the cliff. He watched the water far below with a furrowed bro. "It’s been hours...and there hasn’t been any sign of her."A group of reporters had gathered with cameras, whispering among themselves. Cars were still backed up as traffic were barely moving as some drivers stepped out to stare.Another officer walked over, shaking his head. "It’s morning already, and we still haven’t found any sign of her" ….……………The helicopter hovered over the water. Its blades made a loud chopping sound as the wind blew hard. Below, the sea was wide and deep, with no sign of her.Max held onto the rope ladder tightly. One hand grabbed the rope, and the other covered his eyes from the wind.He looked down at the rushing waves. The rope moved with the wind, but Max didn’t care. His eyes searched the water again and again, hoping to see her.“Mr. Anderson,” the pilot said through the headset.
